Is this legit antifreeze? Seems too good to be true.

According to that label it is POAT compatible but then it says its everything else compatible also.

There are no universally accepted standards for antifreeze/coolant like there are for engine oil so you are basically at the mercy of what the manufacturer tells you.
That being said I haven't seen any issues caused by using the "all makes/all models" coolant in various vehicles.
I personally like to stick with manufacturer reccomended fluids in my own stuff but that's just me.

Well according to their spec sheet this is compatible but not sure if I trust them or not. The appeal is that it's cheap and the stated 300,000 miles longevity will probably outlast my engine, which is at 340k miles already.

It’s universal anti freeze. I have the equivalent, SuperTech, in all my Toyota/Lexus vehicles (except the RX350, but it will at 100K). Just flush out all the oem coolant with distilled water. But, I do follow Toyota’s recommendation to replace the coolant every 50K after the 100K service.

My brother in Christ, its antifreeze your engine won't care, you could just run water and it won't care(unless it drops below freezing). Most parts store antifreeze has been universal for some time now.

Never run straight water in a cooling system for anything other than an emergency or for the purpose of flushing, antifreeze contains corrosion inhibitors among other things to protect the metal parts of the cooling system from rust, corrosion, and cavitation.

This is what running straight water will get you.

nice looking water pump, how many miles on it? Every engine used to run on just water with no ill effects and antifreeze is actually more corrosive than strait water, the corrosion inhibitors in antifreeze are to counter act its own inherent acidity, not to treat the water.

I think that is just regular water. Or tap water. If you run distilled water, I think you won’t get this “rusting” or “gunk build up”

don’t race cars run straight distilled water?

Your not supposed to service radiators with anything but distilled water, same with batteries. You can't tell what's in tap water and it can be very acidic or basic, plus city water can have chlorine and other things in it.

I don't remember, that was taken years ago but I have seen several like that since then.

Yea old engines and water pumps were made out of solid cast iron and the radiators were solid copper so a little rust or corrosion wasn't gonna really hurt much, today's engines are for the most part aluminum which corrodes much quicker than iron.

Diesel engines also need supplemental additives to prevent cavitation in the water pumps and cylinder liners.
It is true that antifreeze will turn corrosive as it ages, that's why it is reccomended to replace it at specified intervals.

Race cars are also rebuilt after several runs but your welcome to run just water in your truck and see how that goes.

Aluminum is much less susceptible to corrosion then iron or copper, and aluminum engine blocks while less common were still used more then 100 years ago with water and no ill effects.

Sure. But I’m talking about people that take regular cars to track days. Like 350z or Miata’s. They mostly run distilled water and I think they are fine.

I would understand if you run regular water. Tap water. That would cause corrosion. But I think distilled water is fine to run.

I would totally be fine running distilled water in my cars if I didn’t live in an area where it froze over night in the winter.

I’m not trying to start a argument. Just trying to find out the truth.

How much is it at the stealership? That's what I'm inclined to use but I feel like a fool spending $80 when I could have spent $20

$12/gal for SuperTech (Walmart brand), concentrated, not the 50/50 mix. A buck more for Prestone, concentrated.
