I take my oil to a repair shop in town that has an oil burning furnace, but what do you guys do with your old coolant?

Find a local radiator repair shop. Most will let you dump it in their cans or tanks for a small fee as long as it isn't oil contaminated.

Shops have coolant recycling. I dont know about auto parts stores.

another option is finding the local Hazmat collection point in your area and scheduling a drop off. I believe it’s free

That's what we have, a free hazmat disposal day once a year if the grant money for the program comes through.

Place I used to live had a collection center open either once a month or every weekend.
Even though online it said “appointment required” if you just showed up on your own accord/early they’d still take it and be open

Our county has a central waste transfer facility open to all residents... like a dump, but only a transfer point... in addition to regular trash they have stations for recycling everything... electronics, metals, plastics, cardboard, batteries, paint and other toxics, oil and antifreeze. Open almost every day of the year. Might be worth a quick look to see if you have similar. Also check Wal-Mart. I know they take oil. Perhaps they also collect antifreeze.

Our county has a hazardous waste disposal site. All my used oil, coolant, and transmission fluid ends' up there.

Coolant is getting harder to recycle. I used to take it to Autozone. Now a days no parts store near me will take it. Nor recycling centers. They all told me to call the city, which involves paying a fee.

So I stopped by an auto mechanic shop, and they thankfully took it for me.

San Diego county as a few Hazmat disposal sites located with waste management facilities. Open by appointment only all year on Saturdays to local residents.

Is this the one in moco? I love that place. Im leaving the state soon and going to miss having an easy one stop shop like that to dump excess crap or fluids.
