Hope y'all had a good weekend. My Sunday was good, but the day prior was a definitely a sadder-day.

My cat got in a fight with the neighbor's dog who ripped off her tail; she was beside herself. We had to take her to a re-tail store. Having never been there before, our cat was quite purr-plexed. My wife was pretty upset too, but the re-attachment went well, and after the procedure we stopped at the park and spotted a couple of birds apparently sunbathing, so we got some baskin' robins as a treat.

Since we were already in town, I stopped at Best Buy and picked up a new universal remote; in an attempt to cheer her up, I told my wife, "this changes everything". She didn't think that was remotely funny. When we got home we watched Back to the Future, then I made a joke about how I once tried time travel; she thought that was funny but y'all didn't like it.

That evening I invited the couple next door, Gin and Sun, for dinner to show them there were no hard felines about what had happened earlier. I thought I'd play a joke on Gin and serve him some some rubber bands covered in marinara sauce. He took a bite and asked if it was spaghetti; in my best Italian accent I told him "no it's an impasta!". He laughed pretty hard but then stopped breathing and turned bright red. Still in my Italian accent, I asked him "are you choking?"; in a raspy voice, he quickly replied "no damnit, I'm serious". Despite my best efforts, unfortunately, he pasta way. Sun was surprisingly understanding, she said even she has made a fusilli mistakes in her time. My wife was sure she would press charges, but I told her Sun was probably just being neighbor Lee.

 

I went to the doctor the other day, raised my arm, and said, “Doc, it hurts when I do this.”

The doctor said “Well, don’t do that.”

Well, I got a call back today about this interview. They wanted to inform me that the starting salary is $75,000.00 a year but but can go to $150,000.00 a year later. I told them that I would start later.

 

I had a dream last night that I was eating a giant marshmallow. When I woke up my pillow was gone.

 

That happened to a co-worker of mine, but I told him that it couldn't Realistic Lee happen.
