"A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they took it to a Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded the bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

7 days later the engineer mentioned that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $ 10,000 to the ship owner

"What ?!" said the owner.
"You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

Lessons to Learn

The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience ... Until
The words "it's easy" and "that's all", should be set aside. Why? Because maybe the experience is the result of struggles, experiments and even tears.

Like the picture above:
If i do a job in 30 minutes it's because i spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.

(If I can finish a job in 30 minutes, it's because I spent 10 years learning how to do it in 30 minutes. You paid me for those 10 years, not 30 minutes).

This sentence reminds me of someone’s advice on respecting and wisely respecting the work of others.

There I also learned to see people ...

Reminds me of the time I replaced someones blower motor in like 3 minutes and they were furious I wanted 60 bucks after they couldn't figure out the problem for 2 weeks

 

That's am important lesson to be reminded of thank you

For the small tank or something?

 

Not really sure. It's missing the port for the pressure sensor and none of my fuel lines have that threaded attachment it's just a red plastic clip. I even used my Vin # to verify fitment through McGeorge Toyota. Maybe that's why every time I searched for the pressure sensor I was going in circles.

 

Oh, hmm it looks like the one for my truck, which has the pressure sensor and EVAP crap under the hood I guess

 

Damn. Need a new fuel line and pump housing? Haha

 

PM me, I do have to change my fuel pump soon and my top plate for that hanger is crusty.

General hypothetical query:

If you could own a business doing what you love and were profitable enough to pay a "dream" salary; but had to take that yearly salary as a lump sum once a year, would you do it?

 

yeah, why not? That's easier. I only get 12 paychecks a year anyway

 

you should do it but if you have to ask you should also hire a financial planner
