TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

The fit kit parts are outrageously rare, even more so than the blower itself. There’s a guy in Washington on the Tundra forum that took it upon himself to get some of the parts fabricated to sell complete kits though. It uses an Eaton M90…that’s all I know. Manufactured around the same time as the older blowers like the 3.4. Maybe magnuson?

 

Ya I just did a quick search and no fit kits coming up for the 4.7L. for the 5.7L the fit kits run between $2400-2800 through Toyota dealerships where you can find them, but plenty still around. Superchargers online quoted me a ridiculous price of $4195 + shipping (+tax for my state too probably) just for the fit kit

Ah yes, the awesome PDR. I have yet to use mine but they are pretty awesome indeed. Currently getting my exhaust worked on as I sit here and write this.

Indeed! I see/hear a lot of guys say they never use theirs, but I love mine. IMO, it's a must-have option.
You need to stop working on your LT4 long enough to enjoy it!

I was joking with my buddies I’ll snag it for my imaginary GX. I also think it’s only for the non vvti 4.7 as well so even more limited which is prob why they stopped it

This would be a superior unit, provided the tune and internals can support it.

Am I tripping that I expected the HG's to be 3 layer? Or are they 2 layer

1UZ, Elate turbo manifolds, and their Holley plenum adapter would be the route I’d go

 

This! The Japan made 4Runners with the 2uz-fe came with forged rods.

Kelford also makes cams/springs for the 2UZ

They are on. I took the shot before I got them welded on, but they are officially on now. Lol.
