I wasn't even that cool. I literally made a 4x4 out of 2x4s and bolted it to the frame horns

yeah, well, that mentality is rapidly being suffocated by the YouTube generation of fuckers that think they are gonna wake up and make a million dollars doing and learning nothing. So, cheers to that!

Okay, that makes more sense. Chevy definitely made small differences between the van V8 and other V8s of the same displacement. But the Astro and GMC safari (specifically) never came with anything larger than a 4.3 Vortex

Biggest Chevy I ever had was the 5.3 vortex

When I got my DL, my grandparents "gifted" me a 1980 Chevy G series "kidnapper" special. It was part ambulance and, uhh something terrible. No side or rear windows, no seats beyond driver/ passenger and fully padded. Paint scheme was all white with huge red, orange and yellow disco stripes down the sides.

I remember not wanting it cause ewwww. I really miss that van. It went up and down trails it shouldn't have been on and up and down in parking spots it shouldn't have been in.:anonymous::rofl:

Was I a short wheel base G series? Those were the shit.

I've always been a Ford guy predominantly, but when it comes to vans..... sometimes Chevy just takes the cake! Honestly, I miss the removable dog house most of all. Nothing like being completely protected from the weather while adjusting timing and changing out cap and rotor
