All of my weapon lights are streamlight.

 

Thanks guys all this really helps so far I haven’t seen any negatives. I think I’m going to try one and if it’s that good slowly I may replace some of my others

 

No need to replace the other lights until they quit. Spend that money on ammunition

 

Unless you can sell them for almost what you have in them or what it would cost to replace it with a streamlight.

 

Another vote for Streamlight Protac HLX but I'll also suggest getting the cloud defensive lcs to house the tape switch. Way nicer than the Streamlight included tape switch

 

Another vote for Streamlight HLX. I have 2, each mounted to separate AR's. No issues with either and they are crazy bright.

FYI you may or may not be able to get knockoff Cloud Defensive LCS MK2 mounts on AliExpress for <$20 if that's your thing.

 

Streamlight are decent budget options, but have been known to have the occasional reliability issue. Personally my vote is for Arisaka/Malkoff. Fully potted and heat sinked heads, smaller footprint, and better throw. Cost about 75% more, but are the best balance between budget, reliability and performance.

these can also use Streamlights' rechargeable battery in place of the two CR123's. Oddly enough, some of the other CR123 powered Streamlights are too slim to fit their rechargeable battery. HL-X is good to go though.

arisaka, bobro, kac, haley all make good ones to work on the surefire/streamlight footprint.

 

So the pic rail mount that comes with it is removable? I’d rather use a dedicated Mlock mount

 

Yes. then you can mount it directly to the mlok mount. get it nice and tight to the rail.

absolutely loving my Odin mini. Its seamless integration and so easy to take on and off if you just wanted to use as a regular flash light like i did on this last trip i was on. Damn the thing is bright as well. Ill probably run olights from here on out.

 

I usually see the mlok mounts for about $30, teh HLX with cloud defense switch for around $130 on the 2nd hand market on reddit to give you an idea of used cost.

I know BCA isn't top end, but they currently have some complete rifles on sale for <$400. 5.56 and 7.62x39

 

I’ve never been on Reddit. TW and some vendor sights are about all I do on internet.
