    I wanted to open it up and see if I could find any obvious signs of why it failed, but could not unscrew the little screw and ended up tearing it apart...

    Looks like a Fusion from the rear, and a Focus from the front.

    It’s ashame the US remains uninitiated and deprived of the the vehicle market outside our little bubble.

    Probably too many regulations to make it worthwhile.

    Not regulations; It's just that customs won't allow an vehicle that's not at least 25 years old to be imported into the country if it wasn't sold here. This has a lot to do with crash tests; Obviously, as seen with the silver Mondeo, it is perfectly legal to drive a car with Mexican plates across the border for purposes of business or pleasure.

    I was referring to all those different vehicles not being sold here as new because of regulations, not the old ones.

    @Taco critter

    Why do people think they can join TW and treat it like Craiglist right away?!?!

    I would never sell anything on Craiglist; It seems like both the buyers and the sellers are scammers. Somebody unknowingly put in my cell phone number when listing a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 for sale a few years ago, and I got like half a dozen texts in less than two days asking about this truck that I knew nothing about. When I tried to look up the truck, I couldn't find it...?

    Speaking of 2002 Dodge Rams, we lived in Northern Virginia (specifically Centreville, in Fairfax County) while my dad was stationed at Pentagon from 2002 to 2005; This one kid from my school lived around the corner from me in the same neighborhood, and his dad bought a brand new 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 in the fall of that year. It was black with red lettering, with some sort of Sport packag, and these cool aluminum wheels; I was told that this truck cost almost FORTY GRAND. @6 gearT444E says that Dodge trucks are junk, and for the most part I agree with him, but back then I thought that truck was one of the most beautiful vehicles I'd ever seen. It is my opinion that in that generation of Dodge Ram, 2002s are probably the least desirable because the HEMI engine was delayed until the 2003 model year due to development issues. The biggest engine you could get in 2002, which my neighbor's truck had, was the 5.9L V8 that made only 250hp or so; 2002-2008ish Dodge Rams here in Southeast Pennsylvania rot out at an alarming rate, so I would imagine that they don't fare much better in the DC area, and I would be shocked if that truck that cost almost $40K when it was new is still as pretty now (if it even still exists)! That truck would have been only seven years old when the "Cash For Clunkers" program was going on, so I doubt that would have done it in, but if it does still exist it is probably a total rotbox...

    I've done okay on there but lot of flakes nowadays moreso. That said I'll always meet at the local PD who has a designated area for it and is on camera.

    The couple of times I had someone come to my house because the item was too heavy to move myself I made sure my wife was home and watching from inside the house unbeknownst

    Pretty sure I'm gonna be damn close close to 154K when I get back from upstate New York on the afternoon of July 18th! My truck is gonna be parked in my driveway for a week from the end of July until the second weekend in August while I'm in California visiting family; There are two car shows in August that are more about two hours away from my house, plus I'm gonna be driving to work and doing so stuff, so I'm surely going to be hitting 155K (and thus my next oil change) by the end of August or early September. I do not think I will be hitting 160K by the end of 2022, but likely before 34th birthday in March 2023, and I expect to hit 200K before the end of 2024!
