My reg cab with 265/75r16's. Bought the truck like this though, has a strut spacer in the front from previous owner (that I need to remove).

took them off for looks and for clearance. The stock flaps are just too dang long. I left the little flaps on the front of front wheel well though.

Most recently I had a 2016 Sport RWD with 17 x 7.5 T4R Trail wheels and BFG 265/70/17 KO2's. I did put 5100's on all 4 corners and only adjusted the front to level. It did not rub stock but just looked better level.
    2016 trd.jpg
Then I sold the 2016 and bought a 2012 SR5 Prerunner and immediately put T4R 17 x 7 SR5 wheels on it with the T4R Dunlop 265/70/17 tires. Stock suspension.
    20210727_115727.jpg
Then I bought a 2008 low mileage Prerunner Off Road and put older T4R SR5 17 x 7 wheels with BFG 265/70/17 street tires. Stock suspension. Then I sold the 2012 to my son.
    20210831_170621.jpg
Then I ran across a brand new set of 4R 17 x 7.5 Trails with new 265/70/17 so swapped those. The others were peeling pretty bad.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Hey guys looking for a bit more clarification. To those who say the 265 75 16 do not rub on stock suspension, how many of you do a LOT of off roading and on steep hills where you are nose diving trying to avoid obstacles?

I drive weekly on some bad ATV type roads in central British Columbia, where my 2016 TRD Off Road (Bilstein 5100 but not lifted) are hammering into hundreds of foot deep potholes. So having to hit the brakes hard on steep downhills, while hammering into a hole and turning the wheel hard to avoid the next obstacle? My suspension is flying up and down, and I bottom out quite often due to no lift and the severity of the trails. My TRD skid plate put on earlier this year is already beat up bad.

    My 265 70 16 KO2's need to be replaced, and currently only 265 75 16's are available.

See pic, I am driving these types of trails weekly.

So looking for feedback from those who have 265 75 16 on stock suspension, and encounter a lot of dips and sudden hard turns on bad trails.

    Thanks....

I love your signature — “If you want to enjoy your truck...stay off of the internet.”

This would be equally true — “If you want to enjoy your life ... stay off of the internet.”

100% the internet will be the prime reason for the fall of mankind. We are well on our way. We all need to squeeze out as much enjoyment as we can from our trucks delivering us into wilderness and nature before it is all a bigger shitshow than it is today.

I really do miss the days when there were no computers, no internet. By the way, I worked in software development for 20+ years after injuries forced me to give up my career as a high seas commercial fisherman. I am too familiar with software and the computer industry, and my view for the past 10 years has been that computers suck. Unfortunately, they are now a necessary evil…

@ppat4 The fronts will rub on extreme suspension compression in a turn. Straight on, no worries.

Yup. I have the 265 75 16 KO2s on now for 2 months of off roading, with some bad trails. A very minor bit of rubbing, nothing of a concern though.

When you say minor rubbing what do you mean by that? I’m looking to get slightly larger tires and these are what I’m looking but not want to add any stress to components that don’t need it

So minor as to not be of no concern. Ten offroad trips in the last 6 weeks, pushing it hard, zero issues. Plus I am usually carrying about 400-800 pounds cargo in the back on my trips.

I did remove my front mud flaps as that is where the rub was. No more after removal.

I do have Bilstein 5100 shocks, raised 0.8 inch. That was done last year, only becuse the TRD pro skid plate I put on sits a bit lower than the stock skid. So I was just claiming that back. It lifted the front 1/4 inch.

The coils and all other suspension components are stock.

Just put some 265/75/R16 on my 2nd gen! Stock suspension, no rubbing at all. Also got some take off 3rd gen rims at a great deal for the upgrade. Running BFG KO2’s and really like the look
