My perspective is a 7200 sq. ft. lot. These days it is considered a little larger than average for being "in the city".

edit: the calculator shows that to equate to .165 acres.

edit2: = 1/100 the size of your lot.

 

I mean that's pretty good. Close to my parents which is 9300, which is plenty of room.

Although your lot is only like a 1/5 of an acre which is wild when I think i have 10 acres.

 

Huh your lot is bigger than mine, I'm only at 6,500... but I've never been in your back yard either so maybe its bigger than I remember.

 

Yeah, yours is relatively long and narrow. Mine is a triangle shape with a big (useless) side yard.

 

Yeah that's fair, I definitely think I'm maxed out on usable space without sliding the house over haha. They got my alley gate setup today, looks like fence will be done soon...

I mean... you could sell yours. Move out there and build. You might come out ahead in both money and lot size. Other tradeoffs though of course.

 

It's something I've considered. But those 'other' tradeoffs keep getting in the way.

Maybe we should split the property next to Monte. And then go in 3 ways on a shop .

 

I definitely was looking a RE prices in the area not too long ago.

I love the Bearthooth front, and I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to afford anything here.

Yeah prices exploded here the last year and a half. You get any close than Absorkee and you're in million dollar property territory due to the proximity to the beartooths.

 

Fence crew needs to turn the 2x4 framing on their side, no strength laid flat like that.

Lol the fence will survive fine, it will just sag with time is all. Can brace the sections like they did for your gate if it becomes a problem

 

I may do that, I'm going to weld up some bracing for the gates too when they leave, not 100% satisfied with what theyve cooked up but I don't want them trying again either.

Damn Morrison is closed for the year.. hopefully not forever. Land slide impacted a bunch of the switchbacks.

 

Bet that's a forever-er. Unless there's cattle run there or a way the route generates revenue for someone, there's little incentive to invest in it. Is it county or blm that owns the switchbacks?
