    lmao that really killed my hopes of using torx screws, but at least it's still a deterrent to the average person who expects regular screws. i was thinking of doing something along the lines of what you mentioned earlier in covering the screw holes but i have to switch them out every year to pass a safety check so i'm sure id ruin it eventually if i filled the screw holes and drilled out every year

    After havimg had my license plates stolen a few yesrs ago, including my stainless steel fasteners — grrr — I replaced them with two-hole spanner head screws. Pretty unlikely a thief will have one of those in his pocket…

    Dunno if they’re available in the smallish, longish size used to hold the taillight lenses on. They’re kind of a specialty item.
