You should come out my way and grab the lights and grill I took off my truck. I've also got a set of Bilstein remote reservoirs still in the box we could slap on for a couple dollars or you can have the old 5100's I removed

Tried extracting my battery hold down bolt, which had a stripped head. But my extractor snapped off inside it. Now I need to buy a carbide drill bit or something to get through that “hardened” steel extractor. Ended up making the bolt twice as hard and twice as useless…

Bummer. I had my core support crack there recently, so I really just have a hole in that location (the captured nut underneath is no longer attached). Anyway, if you don't want to buy a drill bit, you might just be able to grind off the nut (and associated extractor) and then do something like I did:

You can see the details of my fix and a few more photos of the whole situation in this write-up: Rig Review – What worked and what didn’t Winter 2022? It's been holding up great.

nice write up, and I like your solution. Unfortunately that would be more labor intensive and expensive than driving to lowes for a new drill bit. I don’t have a grinder or welder. I’ll drill it out, tap it (I have taps) and go from there.

Dude, I probably wouldn’t. I did two new NAPA axles on my WRX and it has never been the same. They just weren’t balanced the way OE parts are. Next time I have to do CVs I’ll pony up for manufacturers axle.

Finally installed some 5th gen prelude seats! The comfort level is light years better than the stock bucket seats. The adjustment knobs on the bottom seat is awesome :D
