I think all disposals are universal fit providing the height and width space is there. I got the 3/4 HP. There's not much room under the sink anymore with this disposal and the Aquasure R.O. system, but I'm happy with my choices. :D

Edit: They don't usually come with a new power cord, so make sure to get one.

    Yes it was. 1/3HP and L O U D.

Plumbing lined up with no problem, but I had to cut a new drain from the disposal to the existing connection because the new unit is much larger and had a different connection.

If I had been a bit smarter, I would have used the existing sink drain. I got the old one out and then took out the new one and realized they were identical. Dummy moment added 30 minutes to the project.

This one is a 1HP 2-stage unit. They had info on a 1HP 3-stage but the shelf was empty where it would have been. And I did check the box and found out that it didn't come with a power cord, so I scored a new one without having to make a second trip.

I'm pre-plumbed for a filtration system but I don't know anything about them. What can you tell me about yours?

Stop telling me what a smart guy would have done!

Really I thought about it but I wasn't sure if it would work, so I just got the one on the shelf that said it would work with the new one. I did not have time to make a second trip to Lowe's.

Dang, you could grind a whole Costco chicken in there! :D Texas has the same hard water problems as AZ.

My water filtration consists of a Halo 5 whole house water conditioner, Aquasure Harmony 48k grain softener, inline sediment and carbon wall filters and the Aquasure R.O. system.

I don't recommend the Halo 5 as it's way overpriced for what it does or claims to do. If I move I'll do the same setup but with the Aquasure Fortitude Pro whole house filter instead of the Halo 5.

    https://aquasureusa.com/collections...sis-drinking-water-system-100gpd-w-led-faucet

I've also got a DI Rinse Pro 100 for spotless car washing. (absorbs 100 percent of calcium and magnesium)
    https://dirinse.com/product/d-i-rinse-pro-100-system/

Basically, all you need a sediment filter, a large carbon filter and an R.O. system for cooking and drinking water. The R.O. system was added earlier this year and I didn't think we needed it, but wow is it nice.

Thanks for going into detail about it. Your system looks very complex. How much time do you have to spend maintaining it? Or is it just add salt and change filters every now and then and it takes care of itself?

Pretty much add salt and swap filters.

The Halo 5 and Aquasure regenerate automatically about once a week. Inline wall mounted sediment and carbon filters are changed every 6 months, a bag of salt about once a month (it holds about 4 bags) R.O. filters stages 1 & 2 were replaced after 3 months, but we use a lot of water and the dog drinks R.O. water too. :D I flush the tankless water heater with distilled vinegar about every 6-8 months.

Between that and the Lennox whole house air filtration system (Merv 100 filter/ UV light), quality of life is pretty good.

Show pipe. Nice. Whoever soldered it kept it pretty run free. Not always easy to do on vertical installs.

Carbon removes chlorine; get a carbon filter before the softener. If not filtered before the softener chlorine will shorten the life of the softener resin substantially and eat away at your plumbing over time.

My plumbers a wizard. I've always hired him as he moved around with different local plumbing companies and now he's got his own business. He's a third generation plumber and takes a lot of pride in his work. Rare thing these days.

Becoming rarer by the day it seems. Is it really that hard to at least try to be good at what you chose to do for a living? Do people realize that the more pride you take in your work and the better you are at it the more in demand you become? The more in demand part means higher pay.

Another bonus. I'm a type A anal retentive asshole but the quality of my work means I can tell people to fuck off and still get a call back. lol

Was it hard lining up the disposal to the sink?

My friend always have a hard time lining the disposal up. It's a losing battle.

Question. Does the aquasure faucet fit in the little hole where a pull out spray nozel goes on a three hole faucet base setup?

It should. I used an existing smaller hole that was for a soap dispenser.

When they were small time in Colorado and Adam was running most of the show they were the sauce. As they grew and moved to a larger warehouse and then were eventually bought out, quality control starting slipping, consistency wasn't there and the shelf life of their products was terrible. Detail sprays literally turned brown and spoiled. I also had an issue with an employee that stole my CC info along with a few other customers. Adam gave me a $500 gift card out it, but I haven't really bought much of anything of theirs since.

I still use and have gallons of their original stuff and I love it, but I've slowly switched some things to P&S Detail. Adam's is still my go to for car soaps though.

Today it's 8.0+ unfiltered outside, 7.6 filtered inside, R.O. is below 7. They sell alkalinity increasing filters for the R.O system if that's what you want. It's currently fine for me.

    Nope, just heavy.

How hard is it to do Vinyl Siding DIY and would I be better off paying someone if I have zero experience? Wife wants us to save money.
We got a second opinion and he thinks the damage is superficial and hasn't affected the framing yet. He also noticed that our gutters were never setup correctly and that's why all our soffits are rotten/spongy.
He hasn't told us his quote yet.
