My dealer, Round Rock Toyota, did the TSB on my 08 DC 4x4 4.0L without any hassle. They just jot down the symptom and went on with it. To be fair I sent an email to service manager and customer relations manager with the TSB enclosed. The SM called the following day trying to talk me out of it for I may not reverse the mod at their cost if the ride were to be harsher that I want.

Here is the spring on the left of the truck, besides the springs I got the Bilstein shocks on all four corners. All I can say I love the ride

I'm trying to get the TSB done to my 08 DC SB 4x2. I bought it in May. It has F springs in it. Still working with the service department. They said there are no TSB out for Taco's right now. I guess he meant 08's.

Has anyone had an issue with the dealer with your larger tires and wheels and them doing the suspension part replacement and alignment?

I should be getting my leafspring pack replaced this coming Monday. they said they typically need to see the vehicle first but I told them I live 50 min away so they are going to order it and verify the need when I show up. think I will throw a bunch of stuff in the bed Sunday to have the bump stops polish up the frame :D

Very nice man, I had mine done on my truck at about 2k. I load it up with wood, dirt and lumber now and it doesn't sag at all.

Do not worry about loading anything in the truck.
Make sure and take a copy of the TSB with you and be sure that you 1.)point out your truck qualifies for the TSB. And #2 is very important........2.)point out on the TSB that this is a CUSTOMER COMPLAINT generated TSB. Just be very kind and very stearn. NOTHING has to be proven. This is a customer complaint generated TSB. Not a dealership generated TSB. All you have to say is,"I am experiencing a "Harsh Ride".
Also before they do it, confirm they are putting on the 4 leaf pack. :)

Don't let them strong-arm you. They will want to make positively sure you want it done.
They don't want you to come back and say its to 'stiff', and I want my old springs back. If that was to happen, you would pay out of your own pocket and that would be bad for buisness.
I wish I was there to help you. After that long I would be wanting to know what the holdup is.....Hope you showed them the TSB and pointed out that it is due to customer complaint......

yep, don't let them bs you. ANY correction to the spring must include the 4 leaf pack. this is what they tried when i asked...

Took it to Roswell Toyota. At first they said my truck didn't apply for it even after showing them the TSB on hand. So i said i will have to call Southeast rep. I asked them to show me where it stated that my vin was not part of the TSB.

They came back with ok, we can retrofit the TSB to include yours.

If they can't give you definative proof in writing from toyo then call BS and do what i did!

I got the 4 leaf now and i am more than happy with it.

I bought mine in Nov 08. Built in May of 08. Has "G" on them. Dealer even told me that they had to order new U-bolts. They ordered my parts today. Maui Toyota.
If the same parts are going in then I'll just not have them do it.
