On the contrary -- this sounds like a steady income job.
If folks want to reliably pay you to do the same job over and over it may be foolish of them but profitable for you.

When I was 17 I got fired from my cooking job. Got into a yelling match with the owner. He ripped the hat off my head and said get the f*** out. Then he calls me 2 weeks later saying "where the hell you been." Hired me back promptly lol.

 

I've never been fired but I don't think I would mind too much if it happened tomorrow. Don't tell Mrs. Stock

 

Never been farred, hope to keep the streak intact. Being in a union I'm learning how much I can push back. It's a case by case basis, you dont want to be the guy always pushing back.

Now that I've played vacuum repair man and plumber tonight, after skipping lunch, I can FINALLY have some supper at 8:48.

 

Just think you could have the Joy of being on call and Get phone calls and get asked really dumb questions all night long.

Then the Coffee maker breaks . People wonder your cranky all the time.

 

I learned long ago watching my dad have to head out with his tow truck into the worst weather North Dakota could throw at him that there was no way I wanted a job where I was on call.

I did work nights (alone!) for a few months to get us caught back up at my first job. Sometime around 4am I'd start hearing and seeing things.
