coilovers and rust

for a 3" lift, we are considering fox, Icon and Elka

for rust resistance in salt states, seems like from best to worst would be:

Elka
Icon
Fox

Any other suggestions or things to consider? I assume they all ride OK?

 

Love my icons not bad at all! Even the UCA’s are very good here in Ma

 

Good question. Does anyone know how Dobinson's handle rust? Could change my mind about getting them if they're bad.

 

I spray Boeshield T-9 once a month on the suspension components and use a neoprene cover & shock boot... the frame gets fluid film.

this is after 6 months...

 

Probably not Fox. Mine look like shit after a year and I hardly ever drive it in the winter.

 

I had my Fox ceramic coated and the body still did its thing after a year. Great shocks, but I wish they made the shock body more durable to the elements.
