Great Feeling...I bought mine last May 14, 2021.

You may want to do upgrades/improvements as I have done to my Sport.

    Enjoy it!

Not today, but last week. Thanks to @AccuTune Offroad for the recommendations and tuning. Shout out to @Texoma for the install and the conversation. Highly recommend his services if you're in the Austin, TX area.

I’ve been running that exact setup for about a year now. Haven’t touched it since the day I plugged it in and it still works like a charm. Some of the best mod money I’ve spent so far.

Agreed on all points... I got hit bad twice in one month in my last vehicle. Luckily insurance took care of me but now I'm super paranoid for the $40k truck I waited 4-5 months for.

I got a fitted sunshade with a deep notch for the mirror off of Amazon that clears the camera just fine.

Overall, I’d give it a 7/10. It feels solid and it’s definitely not going anywhere no matter the weight applied to it. However the fit isn’t OEM level which is to be expected. The reason for docking some points is that the finish doesn’t truly match the passenger side, but luckily they are far enough apart that you wouldn’t notice unless you looked for it. I had ordered the HUD display as well but it was a defective unit; powers on for a second and then goes out. I checked the shipping label and it was originally sent to Las Vegas this past December before being sent to me in June. I’ll pursue a return on it as I don’t want to deal with the issue.

While I had the speaker grille out though I trimmed a bit of plastic to run my Spod interface cable more cleanly. Finally, I cleaned up the wiring for my Anytime Front/Back camera kit under the dash.

Grab a gnarly hitch step so at least the other guy gets tuned up too! I forget the suggested brands from here, but some of them look really nasty for the person buttholing you...

Changed the manual transmission fluid, wanted to improve shifting from the factory fill. Used the Motorcraft XT-M5-QS, 3 quarts. Expensive stuff but seems good so far, time will tell. Based on experiences of others here I expect great results.

Easy 30 minute job if you remove the shifter and pour the fluid in. So much easier and relaxed compared to working a slippery lube covered hand pump for what feels like an eternity. Unthread shift knob, push boots down, Pull the console trim, pull the two bolts and clips holding the lower shift boot down, press on the locking shifter collar and rotate CCW and out comes the shifter.

24mm on the fill and drain plugs. 90430-A0003 (2 of them) for drain and fill plug gaskets though you don’t really need them. 27ft/lb torque spec, fill the trans till fluid comes out of the filler (pour slowly or it’ll backup and overflow) and then bolt everything back together.

I’m gonna put this stuff in my Jeep Aisin AX15 next.

Sweet lord, not something I did to my tacoma but my wife and kids just came out and said it sounds like someone is breaking into the house... I went outside and there was a mouse getting beat into a pulp by the AC fan... poor thing was pretty tenderized by the time I got to it. Turned off the AC and pushed his corpse down past the blades.

Installed @MESO puddle pods switch kit. I thought it will fit in one of the blanks next to the auto high beam switch. I guess I need a custom switch panel. Also reflashed the idatalink maestro module to the latest firmware while I had the switch panels off.

I’ve been considering these, they look great! Could you post up a link to the exact ones, I know there’s several variations. Brighter than OEM? TIA:thumbsup:
