Were your 3rd Gens already assembled when you bought them (judging by what looks like aftermarket top hats I'm going to guess not)? Per the FSM, for stock coilovers the lower end of the coil springs always face the rear. Appears yours were assembled the opposite way.

Those are the seals I used. Coupled with the latches I got from a local hardware store, they’ve sealed well in thunderstorms. I don’t have a link for the latches but they look like these

Going to add some reverse lights, looking for an oem style large switch for center console. Anyone know where to find some decent ones that actually say reverse or backup? Only finding the typical aux light switches.

I got myself a couple of these brand switches: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/...70b4-00b0-4ac5-bb44-bb5c41c164ad&ref_=ast_bln

I got one that says "LED Light Bar" and one that says "Backup Lights"
There may be more, search around for others.

One thing with installing these in the OEM slots, are that the OEM slots are "keyed", some filing or a Dremel can remedy that though and these aftermarket switches will then fit right in.

*edit: Oh, center console... not sure if those switches are the same as the ones on the dash. my '05 doesn't have any buttons in the center for anything other than the radio or heater (or what I have added)

The box itself was sized based on the RTT I put on top. It’s 50”x80”x27”. I did the height based on being flush with the top of the bed, which I now regret since I’ve now lifted the truck 3” and added a cap. I wish I made the box taller. The tongue itself is removable and adjustable from 48” (to clear the bumper in a jackknife) to 30” for storage.

They did in fact come assembled.

They tried. I'm not surprised they had to cut them, I've run into a few siezed bolts.

Tough to say, as mine were pretty old, but I feel much more planted on the road. Much less bouncy going over bumps, without being harsh.

You could get the newer rearview mirror or a separate screen, but I recommend getting a nice android auto/car play head unit with reverse camera inputs. The android auto/car play makes a huge difference. Look at Crutchfield, they make it super easy

In case you're unaware, the LH and RH springs are not the same P/N (the shock absorbers are the same though) as the LH spring is stiffer than the RH. So either your 3rd Gens are installed on the wrong sides or whoever assembled them before you did so with the springs backwards from the manual. Not trying to rain on your parade here, but just wanted to point it out in case you care.

I took a lot of info from the folks at the Expedition Portal forum. Now those builds are God like! I’m a humble peon in comparison!

thanks! You won’t regret it. It’s been a ton fun. I see you’re in OC too. If you need a good source for the metal, Schorr Metals in Placentia had everything I needed.

Save yourself the hassle, and switch location, and negate a switch altogether by tapping into your reverse lights in the trailer hitch. It was the yellow wire in my 2015.

At Toyota now picking up my floor mats, wiring harness clamps and the bulb for the shifter. Part number below because I couldn’t find it aftermarket.

I wish I got genuine Tacoma floor mats for the Tacoma I recently bought. The ones from Autozone don't really fit right, a bit too small. Beige color not quite the same but that's not a big deal.

Not certain on this without visiting the attic but I used to have the factory all weather mats in my old 05 AC. I kept all the mods off it before trading it in for the 08 RC and went to weathertachs before that so long story short.....might still have them. Not sure if yours is AC or DC but the 2 fronts could be used if I have them and you would be interested in them. Lemme know and I'll search......

I know I have some carpeted gray factory ones but you said beige so those might not work. I'll also make sure I don't have black carpeted ones.
