It takes people a long time here to catch on to new laws. We have had a “ride on red light” law on the books for a few years. If you stop at a red light and there is no traffic coming from the right or left and the light stays red, you can treat the red light as a stop sign. There is one intersection on the way to work that I do this every day if I am the first car at the light. Nobody follows, they prolly think that I just ran the light. The bill was introduced by a representative who rides an air cooled bike. They can overheat just sitting at some of these long lights for no reason so he came up with a solution. They can’t make a motorcycle specific law so it applies to every motor vehicle.
