Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I’m over 60 and with wife over 75, who drives the truck frequently.
We get the stares because we don’t have a Pro grill, Prinsu rack and still have front spoiler. Just a almost stock Sport with a Yakima rack.

I turn 65 tomorrow and now have a Medicare card. I'm officially old, fat, and crabby, but I'm on my second Tacoma which I got last May. Gave myself a birthday present and did a Meso Total Tail Stage 1 mod this morning :)

77 on my 3rd Tacoma. If I live long enough, I will not go back to a sedan. A friend of mine who is on his 3rd Tundra just traded it in for a Ford F-150 Lariat. He is paying paying a bit more for a top of the line 23 Thundra. I wonder if any Tacoma owners would ever switch to a Ford or GM truck?

    57 here, drive white TRD-OR.
My grandson loves trucks, tractors and heavy equipment and loves my Tacoma, he’s 3 and can pick Tacoma’s out in a crowd, says “Pop Pop’s truck but red, green, blue, etc”.
My son in law has F250 and he always likes to say “daddy’s truck big, Pop Pop’s truck Little “ but he likes to ride in my truck better. Yes, trick is craw control, he can drive and just has to worry about steering. Cant do that in dad’s big truck.

if Toyota made a compact truck like this, I’d sell my 2022 for one. Love the first gens, but living in the north east destroyed most around here. I had an’04 but the frame disappeared

Yep, bought my first TRD-OR when I was 55, after years of suv ownership. I will not drive anything but a Tacoma now (ok, my wife’s Highlander on occasion.)

    Same for me...55.

    And my 2 SUVs are:

New 2003 Honda Pilot bought in 2002
Used 2010 Mazda CX-9 bought in 2018 (which I traded in for my '21 Sport)

I'll be 56 the last week of this month/June. Celebrating with my wife in Rehoboth on 4th of July weekend!!!

I do love driving my wife's 2017 Elantra. It gets 30+ MPGs and that's a good thing right now for long trips.

I am 50 and have a few friends whose teenage sons all have newer Tacomas, one has a brand new pro. My son is 7 now and may be driving this truck in another 9 years if I can keep it that long, at least that is the plan I have now.

My dad is 77 and has a 2013 in fanatic shape that is his DD still.

My first Tacoma was a 2002. First year of 2nd gen and it was a quad cab pre runner. Always wished I had 4x4. Bought it brand new.

There was a teenager getting a brand new Pro that his parents bought him when I was picking up my first ever new truck at the age of 50. Why couldn’t of I been born with rich parents instead of being so good looking… :p:D:p

I was going to switch to a F150 after owning Toyotas for 30+ years. But the prices got jacked up. Used to be able to get an XL Super Cab, 4WD, 6’ bed, 5.0 V8 for under $30K, however couldn’t find any under $40K before taxes and fees. So stuck with what I know. Love the Tacoma, but there are times I could use a Full-size.

Have been eye balling the GM twin half tons with the 3.0 diesel, couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on a truck, $60K if you’re lucky. The $20K I saved going with the Taco buys an awful lot of fuel.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...

CEB15F50-8387-4FF3-86C2-D60274641FE3.jpg The young guys that see us old guys in lifted Tacomas. We get a surprise look sometimes. Actually I think they wish it was there truck!

When you fish your whole life , you will never want to stop fishing, it’s a way of life. The 4x4 Tacoma just takes us to those off road fishing spot. Almost 70 years old and many times you can’t wait to go the beach and cast the fishing poles, getting the bait/ lures lines out there. Hoping the fishing will be extra good today.

I started with a hand pole, I just might end up with a hand pole. If I cannot cast anymore. At least I still have my 4x4 Tacoma!

I guess rich is relative. My 23 year old son drives a ‘21 Pro. Has a ‘23 Pro 4Runner on order. When my wife and I were picking up her Audi, we were overhearing a kid (high school) arguing with his parents over a $150k Audi and a $180k Audi. Our salesperson said it happens all the time. Wow!

My wife and I brought my son his first 4x4 , we paid cash. Right after high school. Lifted , rear had a limited slip, camper top. ?527F0BF2-F1ED-4BDD-988F-D99181BA7147.jpg
Later he upgraded and give this 1999 Ford Ranger back to his parents.

Purchase his first brand new 2016 Tacoma TRD DCSB. Got it lifted.
Nevers stop fishing. Shoreline fisherman, spear fisherman, throw netting, and today has two friends with boats.

Lucky his parents are “rich in heart”, and there is always fresh fish to eat.

Rich is “relative”. Money cannot buy “happiness “. But getting a new Tacoma will make anyone “Happier “. Till the monthly bill arrives?
