    Has anybody modded their hood scoop in any way to dress it up a bit? I was thinking about trying to add some led's to mine. I am not an off roader, just a casual park camper, so being rugged is not a major concern.

    Welcome
    I think there’s thread of someone adding these.

    If you’re going with actual lights that throw light down road and not just accent lighting, keep em off while you’re sharing the road, please and thanks

    People put 12“ light bars in there. That’s about all you can do. One guy routed the air flow to make it an actual hood scoop.
    Jury is still out on the functionality of either mod

    Be careful, I would *love* to put "Knight Industries Two Thousand"* lights there but it would be very attractive to law enforcement for sure.

    * or "Cylon" eye lights...

    factory lift kit, Stinger Off Road Stereo, Customized leather interior, Backflip X4S Tonneau,
    There are several lighting options for the hood scoop of you look around.
    I searched it a few months ago and found the 12” light bar in spot or flood, the kit car bouncing red light thing, raptor style lights and many more…

    this is my exact plan. got a 12led cylon scanner kit from russia of all places. pre-ukraine.

    used to be it's illegal. but lately, there's at least a dozen wranglers around my area that run RGB 'rock lights'/light bars anytime they're driving, a silverado with blue ditch lights also on anytime the motors running, not to mention the 20+ polaris slingshots that would would make a tron villain jealous...

    if they pull me over for a simple scanning light of any color tucked up in the skewp, i'm going to laugh. in the time it takes them to perform the traffic stop, there's an extremely high likelyhood that at least 2 of any of these vehicles with 4x's the illegal color mods will drive by, usually violating the noise ordinance at the same time, while also failing to use their turn signals...

    many of the pre-made strips are just longer than the dimensions i measured for the skewp, meaning the ends would need to be wrapped around to compensate, which might alter the effect. just a forewarning.
