Is that just a sheet of steel/aluminum covering the broken window? Are there any leaks other than the obvious around the window and crack in the aluminum?

Yes it is, did that until I could replace it with a fiberglass window. Haven’t had a chance been busy.
There is small hole near front corner and small cracks inside. I’ll send you some pictures

 

I should have an oem tow hook at the house that isn’t being used.

If I had a good grinder and cutting torch I'd cut off the steps and trim them down to RC length......but I don't

 

Random high jack, but I know you guys will know this. What’s difference between 2nd gen & 3rd gen softopper? Specifically bestop.

 

Cab height. 3rd gen bedrails sit close to 2 inches higher than the 2nd gen. Not much, but enough that a 2nd gen topper on a 3rd gen makes it look like a swanns food truck, and 3rd gen toppers on a 2nd gen looks like a Homer bubble car.

Unless you're talking about the difference between Supertop and Supertop v2.

The V2 looks good, and I would seriously consider it if I already didn't have a softopper. The original Supertop makes your truck look like a shitting dog.

 

there’s a thread about it somewhere in the topper section, it will fit but the top of the cab will look off and the tailgate cover are the 2 big issues.. And the bestop brand is the uglier compared to the softtopper brand.

I know of the one in Houston for the turd gen but from what I know, it’ll sit pretty low on the 2nd gens bed.
