i work in the oil field indirectly and the work i do is not as intimate with all the regulations and behind scenes stuff. im just a draftsman for an engineering consulting company who mainly deals with well sites and drilling rigs. i hear some of this stuff around the office, but dont always know exactly the whole situation. im still green in the field with just under 4 years. i see now how i was off with the FERC comment. i was misunderstanding their role.

 

Fair enough. We each have our own biases, self included. We get to have our own opinions.

 

Yeah no worries man. Nothing about the energy world is easy or straightforward. I think that makes the reporting even more frustrating because so much of the media is interested in boiling a complex issue down to a single sound bite or headline when that doesn't even begin to do the issue justice.

Funniest part is I never trade crypto. I had some extra funds and decided to get into LINK and do a long hold. Now, that's gonna be a very forced and VERY long hold. lol

 

If BTC gets back down to 4 digits I'll buy one on a flyer kind of like GME shares. I'm not willing to lose more then 9k on that bet though if that valueless garbage goes to 0 before I can find a greater fool or the exchange gets hacked again.

 

2 limits filled on SPYD, a 3rd one in, everything else is staying above my buy price for the moment.

Now everybody remember in 5 to 10 years when we we’re nearly tapped out of electricity… Remember this refinery capacity versus demand and keep in mind we are opening zero nuclear power plants. We’ve got plants being shut down left and right (aging out and going off-line) and then you’ve got crazy decisions like California not seeking license extension on Diablo Canyon 1&2. California is desperately screaming for electricity and it’s going to shut down 2 gigawatts of capacity. I guess everyone can just charge their cars in another state bring them home and donate the electricity back to California while they sleep at night?

i watched a video of a guy on the side of the road in a tesla with no power. gas can in hand trying to hitch a ride to a gas station.

lost some faith in humanity after that 2 minute video

 

So everything I buy now drops 20% within a few days of me buying...

 

What was he going to do with the gas? It had to be a parody video right? I do know that over the winter when there was that big traffic jam in Virginia from the snowstorm on 95 all the electric vehicle people were begging gas people to let them in their cars to stay warm.

 

Redbox is a great example of what’s wrong in investing in the stock market these days lol. I’m gonna have to pass on a stock zooming up to $16.27 that’s gonna be bought soon for 49 cents a share.
