Almost time for sliders. Had to do the body lift first. 15° kick on them.

Looks good! Are you welding them on yourself?

That was the only downside to my welded on sliders. I wasn't able to prime and paint them beforehand.

I kinda want to trim my bumpers but I haven't seen any on a 470 that look decent.

that's funny i actually think it typically looks better on the 470 - you can go straight across and it looks pretty natural. with the 460, the bumper is so round and weird you kinda have to do some diagonals and curves with the cut, otherwise it looks like shit

you should go for it! I'm glad i did

yup - that looks good. the 470s have cleaner lines than the 460. the straight across cut looks factory. finish it off with some autobody edge trim and you are good to go

i used an angle grinder with a cutting wheel and it worked but was major overkill and created a lot of melted plastic that i had to pull off after. i think a dremel would be good, or even a little jigsaw with a short blade. i've seen people say they used a little hand saw too. the plastic cuts pretty easy

just make sure there is nothing behind the bumper that you could hurt (wires, connections, etc) then go to town

And im assuming these cuts are just following the body lines on the bumper? Just went out and looked at mine and can see where the cuts line up after looking at the pics you posted.

i think following the body line will make it look best. i did make sure to measure and mark with blue painters tape still because you could "follow the body lines" slightly differently on each side
