    We seem to have more around the house this year then we ever have. The wife is terrified of them, her first reaction is to get a shovel and commence chopping.
    There was a King snake in the yard the other day, so I took the opportunity to show her what it looked like and then showed her a video of a king snake killing and eating
    a Timber rattler. I think I may have finally convinced her after 26 years that not All snakes are bad!

    not usually something i ask but for those of you that are going to say your prayers tonight put in a word or two for my fellow Montanans.
    All this damn rain finally caught up to us and rivers are flooding like crazy.
    Roads and bridges are washed out. Whole towns flooded.
    They're working on evacuating Yellowstone Park today. Thousands of folks being uprooted there. 3/5 of the entrances are closed due to the flooding so they're either going south to Jackson WY and the Tetons or out West where I was at just yesterday. I knew the river looked scary, only getting worse by the minute.
    Some of my coworkers are stranded along with a thousand others as the main road to/from town runs parallel to one of the rivers. No idea how they're getting home tonight.

    He's fine. He was more traumatized by the trip to the vet then anything else.

    I have been giving him small amounts of food and he seems ok
