Hey guys when i recently bought my truck i was getting fantastic gas milage through the city and pretty much anywhere. The day i bought the truck i drove 80 miles from the dealer to my house and the needle never left full. Now im filling up constantly and my gas doesn't seem the same at all idk if im getting even 16 highway and the only mods done are 270/70/17 grabbers no lift or anything and my tanneu cover. Wondering if it's my fuel pump or just if im getting bad gas? Anyone else experiencing this problems on their 2nd gens

Yep, winter gas. Plus takes longer for your truck to warm up which means the truck runs rich for longer. I usually get around 260-270 miles on avg out of a tank in the winter and right around 300 miles on avg in the summer (with the AC on all the time).

Also the tires you put on are alot heavier than the ones the truck came stock with. It has to push more weight.

It's the winter blend, as everybody else has said above. BUT i've also seen on mine that eventually the Mass Airflow sensor starts to get dirty and coated. This will cause the sensor to give readings slightly off than what they really are, and will cause it to run lean. This is turn causes you to put your foot into everything a little more causing milage to drop. Get some electrical contact cleaner (leaves no residue) and spray down the sensor really well. You'll notice an increase in throttle response and slightly better milage.
