    I read somewhere - "Valves are hard." I'm not qualified to contest this statement. Especially in light of capsule reuse to the extent SpX does.

    Cryogenic temperatures make it difficult. When the parts get cold they shrink which could lead to the valve leaking. In some parts they'll address this by making the parts slightly larger to account for the shrinkage. With metals like stainless however, that's bad because too tight a fit can make the metal seize/weld together. It's a tough balancing act.
