Well, there was a tag on it saying "lubricated for the expected life of the unit" and "only change/add fluid when service requires dismantling the gear box."

 

Welp, that seems to fit the situation now...

 

I just called the place where my buddy ordered the blower motor for our A/C to see if it was in yet so I can pick it up. Guy told me the only way I can pick it up is if they call him and tell him I'm coming to get it and bring cash. I said that is fine, I will call my buddy and have them call you. How much cash do I need to bring? He said I can't tell you that, I can tell them when they call

 

We have one of those here. My uncle brought it by and ask if we could make a new gear for it. That was about 5 years ago

Yeah it's a throwaway gear box for us. We go through one every month or two. Not in this exact location, but around the mill we have dozens of these.

 

No sir but thank goodness a friend let us borrow a window unit yesterday and I stuck it in our bedroom.

 

I just asked Mike what a fan motor costs. He said 150-200 bucks.

 

That is what they should cost but this one is special. Has the capacitor built into it and some other crap. Most places are backordered until August and over $800
