Just goes to show you the profit margins they operated with before Covid.
If you could take a hit that big and keep the doors open?

    No you don't.

    I'm 38.

I've been a hospital based physical therapist for 14 years, including a few years as a traveler back in the day.

You seem worked up. Want a bourbon?

If he had addressed the topic at all that would've been a start.

But then, we know you have issues in that arena as well ;)

Fine, but you're gonna have to wait a bit while I make a Clamato run.

if you can’t see how this overlaps with the hospital travel nurses situation we discussed…

(New temp hires making gobs more than existing staff currently does…)

I just hope I never need physical therapy in your neck of the woods.

    God you're dense.

It's no challenge at all to see the overlaps where they exist. I already knew about 'em. That's why I didn't ask about 'em. I asked about American Airlines' corporate v pilot relationships and how they may be affected by a drastic increase in pay scale for new hires.

Then you wander in babbling about entitlement and saying hey, pilots can make more money via career or position change. Duh. Everyone already knows. That's why the question wasn't "Hey, do you think these pilots could do something to make more money"?. You think you're the first person to recognize the pathways for increasing income in the United States?

So since you weren't apparently getting it after two tries, I broke it down to very very simple terms in hopes of giving you some hope. It is evident now that this was a futile endeavor because you've got a real low-poundage pull on the ol' butthurt trigger.

All is not lost though: You have provided me with a small amount of mirth in not realizing that contract healthcare providers are not new hires of the hospital organization they work at, they are contracted labor employed by the travel organization. Their employer, not the hospital they work at, decides their compensation and while it *can* be very lucrative if you're willing to spend 12 weeks living in an Extended Stay America in Buttcrack, North Dakota from December to February, you're earning every penny.

And there, by the way, is your answer as to why not everyone becomes a contract clinician: Yes, I could double or triple my earnings by becoming a contract traveler again and spending 12 weeks living in an Extended Stay America in some hell hole like Cortland, NY in the winter, but I'd rather take a smaller wage and remain here in my current coastal residence, working a cushy 3 day/20hr week as a part timer at the local county hospital and spending the other 4 days playing on the beach with my toddler and drinking bourbon at 1PM. So, mystery solved. You're welcome.

Now, since nobody's making me read your posts, I'mma check out of this exchange and you and I can put our heads together later on some other topic of conversation. Unless you want that bourbon I offered, in which case come on over.

I don't keep it, but Google tells me both Tanqueray and Aviation are Diageo owned. You get Tanqueray.
