America has an armed citizenship , and it's citizens are no more secure than the unarmed citizenship of Canada .

 

So the fact I have the right to carry a gun makes me think I am more free than others living in a free society some place else?

Not really. It just makes me less likely to be a victim of some scum bag that doesn't want to play by the rules.

And that is an individual choice. Not something that bestows more freedom on me than anyone else.

 

i like that we aren't completely broke. i like our health care system better. i like that there is 30 million people and most of them dont live near me.

That's an opinion, but it really depends on the situation.

The criminals will always find ways to get weapons. That's why they're criminals.

I would argue that the shotgun in the corner makes my home a little more secure than another home without one.

Not really . Look at violent crime rates in Canada , they are lower than the US

Yes, but there are many other factors (demographics, population, etc.) that contribute to that.

Damit I keep trying to post and it takes me too long to say something and by the time I finish you guys have moved on and I just have to give up.

But I will say this, there are a lot of places in America where you can leave your doors unlocked too.

I'm of the opinion that the 2nd Amendment makes up some of the fabric of what Americans believe to be American .

 

I've heard some less than special things about Canadian health care.

Waiting lists for tests and basic medical procedures.
