That's what I load in .38 cal., devastating. If you ever find them and want them, snap them up, I think CCI may have given up making them.
If you hand load and want to make your own there is a PDF in "Load Development" June-July 2013 telling how to make your own shot shells with carboard wads from trackofthewolf.com . Low cost, very effective.

 

Shoot it on paper and see how it patterns. I’ve got a Texas Defender, with buckshot one barrel will shoot a spread pattern. The other will shoot a vertical pattern.

I have the precursor to the Bond guns, an American Derringer Co. .410 3"/.45LC. A disgruntled designer left ADC and formed Bond.

3" express shells are brutal but 2.5" aren't bad. I also have the little grip like yours and it is painful with 3" shells but no prob with 2.5s. The ammo rated for handguns is much lighter in recoil than shotgun ammo. .45LC is a pussycat compared to 3" .410s. I'd fire that without hesitation.

These don't jump, they go straight back in your palm because the bore is really close to the grip. It won't jump out of your hand.

Buddy of mine hit some foundation concrete at speed. Twisted his deck beyond repair.

Found a donor deck a couple hours away. His mower is a Yahoo Keeps, this mower deck is off a diesel 500 series Toro. I was sure I was gonna have to do some fabrication work. Nope. New deck fits like it grew there.

 

That thing is ready to mow some snakes over so he won’t have to shoot them

Looks like I’ll be buying a Kubota B7610 from my future father in law. Has a bucket and a handful of rear attachments. Needs a good polish but works well; I’ve been using at our new home purchase that’s a major renovation. Fun machine for sure and makes life a lot easier.

My current dilemma — I was thinking I could use it with a belly mower to manage the lawn but I would need to buy turf tires and the belly mower and that puts me in a few thousand when I could get a walk behind or rider for cheaper?!

 

What's more important?

Storing another piece of equipment or dealing with a small amount of grass rash?

Me, I'd learn how to turn with the tractor to minimize grass damage.

I don't care enough about my grass to think I need to swap to turf tires.

Only you can make that call.

 

Would the addition of a deck interfere with using it as a tractor is another something to think about.

Good point. It would be a huge pain to switch tires/wheels since I plan to do some snow removal in the winter as well so i would be going back and forth. I’m hoping space won’t be a huge problem. The house has 14 acres and there’s a future plan for an oversized shed or small barn to store equipment and double as a workshop.

Yes. I don’t think I would leave that mower deck on all the time which could get annoying as well.

 

you may be better off leaving it as a tractor and adding a mowing specific machine, if anything more than an acre needs to be mowed you’ll spend more time mowing than anything else.
a decently sized zero turn would probably be the better machine for the job and better money spent

 

These $250 crappy plastic grill pieces are important, radiator fins get clogged with grass seeds to quick and possibly overheat.

 

Wish they still made them with steal!!

What are we referring to? I must have missed a few posts

 

Mine is metal, it gets clogged and stuff gets by when I bush hog. I take my backpack blower with me and when I see the temp gauge creeping up I take the grill off and blow it out.

 

Yeah it's amazing how much plant material gets sucked into the grill/radiator.
