Congrats? If it's paid for, what would that benefit? Plenty here make it work with car seats. If your truck is special to you she should respect that. Hell, in moments of weakness I've talked about selling mine and been met with a heavy handed "the fuck you are".

Ehhh feeling much better about it, it was just a little gunk floating at the neck, fluid looks great and I’m bummed it’s being wasted.

Why is it wasted? Looks ready to pour back in with a burping funnel.

I don't see a reason why you can't put that pink stuff back in, unless you contaminated it some how? By the sounds of it, it's pretty new so I would use as much as you can.

Point #3 makes it sound like it's already in the bag...

I've gone back and forth on selling mine since we had a kid 2 years ago, but my wife always tells me she doesn't want to see me get rid of my truck. It's been a staple of many great memories we've shared together and despite the shit I talk about it when something needs fixed (aka all the time), I know she's right.

But we only have one child and if & when another comes along, then I'd probably have to pull the trigger on something bigger. Working with an Xtra cab over here though and it's a tight squeeze with 3.

In the end, family always comes first and family will be there long after these toys of ours are gone. Congrats on the new addition!

Should probably start saving for a high clearance bumper. This’ll do for now.

Love the patina on those channel locks. I just picked up a new pair of Irwin’s on a whim to replace my crappy dollar tree pair.

I'd keep it. If anything 1st gen double cab will only appreciate in value. Not drop. And not having a payment and extra spare vehicle is handy. Who cares if you don't use it much. When you do it's always worth it.

I'd keep it, worst case sell it in a few months or years time when you need the cash. I do think the price of these things will continue to go up in value especially for a turn key ready rig

Does anyone have a picture of an EGR port on their throttlebody. I’m just trying to figure out if I have it or not and don’t quite know what it looks like

EGR doesn't feed into the throttle body, it just uses the two nipples on top (that are normally capped) to get vacuum for operating the modulator.

oh OK, got it. I’m thinking about getting headers and was trying to figure out if I need some with EGR or without.

Headers are different, some have an EGR port on them... but 5VZ pretty rarely have EGR. It's pretty easy to tell if you have it

Right, I’ve seen the different options but I guess I’m just still unsure about which to go with. If I have those caped nipples that means that’s an option but why would I choose one over the other?

I guess I'm missing the point of the question, you don't need headers with the EGR port on them if your truck doesn't have EGR. It's not something people put on later for fun, it's emissions equipment that obnoxious and doesn't accomplish its goal very well.

A side note here in my situation is that I have the 3.4 and the 1st gen supercharger.
With that said the Doug Thorley EGR EXHAUST tube DOES NOT fit( completely different location and will need a custom tube section made.
They don't made a 1st gen EGR tube.
It probably fits the new one piece cast supercharger tho guessing
