Prrrbbbbttt, you forget... We got the #1 "urban boundary 4x4 trail" as voted by the CAA

    https://www.caasco.com/advocacy/worst-roads/2022-results

And I got pics of a bunch on you C.U.N.T.S. "slumming it" in this fine city!

oh and here is a random pic or two...

A few differences from the Taco in the engine bay.... one is.... this is considered filthy... on the Taco it looks like this when I finish cleaning, not starting to clean like this one.

Lol this has happened a couple times now since I picked up the above car a few weeks ago...

    Stopped at a light.

Vehicle beside me rolls down the window...

"Hey nice car, always wanted one of those"

"Yeah thanks, yeah they are a lot of fun"

"Ummm can I ask what you do for a living?"

"Sure of course, I'm an Electrician"

Wide open eyes and mouth hanging open look.

"Ohm ummmm, do you own the company?"

"Nope, in fact, I just finished my apprenticeship only a couple years ago"

Surprised blinking ,and jaw falls lower...

You can see their is brain not computing this and spinning around in their head... like you just proved water is not wet.

So I then throw in the the Coupe de grace of mindfucks... but time it for the lights for the best effect...

"Well, If you like THIS car, you should see what the plumber is driving"

    Then take off.

You are correct sir... and Exhaust, and Tune.

    Front Air dam,
    hood,
front fenders, (that then get repainted except for the air vent)
    side intakes,
    Side skirts,
    Rear wing,
    bigger rear diffuser,
Are all being replaced with CF... $45k+ for those parts.
And since they are all hand made.... lead times are a bitch.

Give it more of a STO look.

Then I'll decide if I want to keep the "orange" and black look
    or
wrap it in black or grey.

    Replace brake fluid.

Might replace the engine compartment surround and rear louvres... $14k

    Titanium Valved Exhaust 6-$14K,
you'll notice the valve turns on the straight pipes.
    More Flames baby...
Lol the burble, burble, crack crack, BANG when you take you foot of the gas is intoxicating.
Even through the huge mufflers on the stock system.
Straight piped and in Corsa mode I'd be scaring the guys on Harleys.
So I'm looking for something similar to these but the straight pipe section to be a larger diameter.
Not looking to make it sound like an Aventador.
Titanium turns a nice blue and purple once they get heated up.
(which really does not matter as it will be covered in heat wrap then inside a heat shield anyways, Unless I go for the open ass look)

Little bit of stuff for the air intake..

Then it's off to the dyno and tune...

From what I've researched should be able to get it to 670+ hp with little effort,
get an even faster throttle response, more like a Mclaren.
Most of the tunes out there not only increase the flames out the back by a large amount,(6-12")
some have it when you put it in park and corsa, then rev the shit out of it you get a major flame mode.

    Then tires...

Pzeros are ok for drifting, donuts and burnouts.

But suck donkey balls for drag or cornering at speeds. You gotta have them red hot to be not too bad at grip.

(or maybe I should not do onramps at over 200kph. lol)

Ok for the streets, but means I'll be swapping tires for track days.

Not going to lower it. It's about as low as you want for it to be practical on the roads.
Still use the lift system for driveways and speedbumps.
Suspension is amazing, lol but definitely not as forgiving as the Tacoma's 8112's are on the Hamilton roads.

Corsa (race) mode really stiffens up the suspension. Can only use it on the track or highway unless you want your spine wrapped around your ears especially in Hamilton.

It depends on how it’s getting done. Are they removing lower arms? Welding on them and spraying with water?

Could be anywhere from 3 hours just to weld on to a full day with RR of the arms.

Marlin says 8-10hrs removing the LCAs so your estimate is in line with what they think. a shop is quoting me 20hrs+ which seems exhorbitant.

Yeah, definitely shop around 20 hours is too much.

If your cams are siezed it turns into a long day since you have to cut the bolts off and it sucks. I think I spent 3-4 hours cutting @Manfred lca bolts/cams out. Essentially the time it took him to prep, weld, and paint a set of spindles I spent cutting the bolts out. 4 bolts cut in 2 places each, 8 cuts total. Was miserable.

Mind you they have been welded in with the lca’s on which is quicker but does risk burning the bushings.

in hindsight it took him and I 24-30 hours to do spindle gussets, cam gussets, and put everything back together in a driveway.

5 hours at Sumin. On a lift, the wheels could stay on. The LCAs are installed for tacking. For full weld, the LCAs are pulled free from the frame (with the upper ball joint resting on the spring coil). Given your truck's young age, the cam bolts should be free.

I know @Joe23 cams gave ski at ct motorsports some issues even though it was a year or two old. But shouldn’t be as bad as @Manfred truck. It was brutal rusted.

Yeah it's a common issue with many cars (Hondas, Subarus, etc). A few videos on EricTheCarGuy and BriansMobile1 YouTube channels show them eating thru sawzall blades for LCA removal jobs.

I can agree with that. I went through so many. It sucked. Don’t recommend. But I don’t think there is any other way.

yep the reason for my post

its a 2021 thats never seen salt and I greased the cams before my second (!?!) last alignment plus the alignment tech in Moab said they were fine a month ago on my last alignment.

did you use diablo blades on the LCA bolts? they made quick ish work of the bolts on my 2013 and anything else i have ever used them on.

as above... bolts are good. sounds like Sumin for the win. a bit of a drive for me but might be worth it. thanks

diablo blades work for me :sawzall:

i havent completely given up on the JDFab lower pivot kit but if i am getting quote for 20hrs on the Marlin kit you can imagine the quote to install that.

I recall using Milwaukee ones but I could be wrong. It’s been a a while since I did it. It sucked bad though.

if your cams are that fresh there is absolutely no reason it will take 20 hours. Most likely 5 max.
