The DMM is much more low-profile. If you don't have anything on it and took the ball mount off, you wouldn't even know it was there. If you plan to move your mounts a lot or are really particular about where you want something to go, the track would be good since it looks like you don't need a tool to adjust the placement and you have a lot more placement options along the track vs. the set intervals on the DMM. Personally I just got the DMM to hold my phone so those points are moot for me and I prefer its low-profile look.

Yeah I’m just wanting a phone, GoPro at the moment. Like how this looks.
I’m just not sure if the DMM is compatible with all the ram ball options. I do like the dmm more than the bullet mount.

I’d like to use these pieces.
The 67 seems better than the wireless magnet mount I currently have.
And I like how minimal the go pro is. Keep in mind I’m new to all this ram stuff. I have the X arm on the stem mount for my motorcycle, but that was very simple.

Yup, the DMM is compatible with the RAM mounts. So long as you have the ball mounts and screws he provides, you can put just about whatever you want on there.

I just saw this! I did dm that person you said does support.
What was the reason for using proprietary screws? rams accessories are confusing but I see they offer the balls in multiple sizes. No idea what those equate to though lol

I had a magsafe ring that attaches to a wireless mount but it got so hot the adhesive would come loose

From what I remember, normal size screw heads are too big to fit in the 1" ball mount he has, so he has screws with smaller heads. So, none of the options on that list will fit the DMM threads.

Ok so just get the ones on his site and I can use any accessories I want? I’m sure it’s basic hardware knowledge, I just didn’t understand that list of sizes.

Yeah, just get the ball mounts with screw on his site, then get any B size (1" or 25mm) items to clamp on to it. The 10-32 is essentially a 3/16"-32 (interwebs number) so its not on that list.
I did exactly that, got like 3 of the ball mounts with screws, and got a RAM mount you can see my photo. The other items on the dash are from his site directly.

Thanks man! Really appreciate the help. I thought I was really happy with the wireless mount I was using, but the magsafe ring just wouldnt hold with the heat and vibration like I showed above. You can’t use a whole metal plate because then it wouldn’t charge which would have more adhesive area. It’s nice to be able to just pop your phone and charge it but it wouldn’t work for me. I think I will be happy with the 67 clamp and the taco garage metal arm. It looks slick.

Just another thought, if you really want something that holds and are ok without the magsafe charging, there are these:

Oh yeah, I wouldn’t care about magnet really if it doesn’t charge. There really is no way to have a secure mount and still allow the iPhone to receive a charge bc it would block the current. I’m guessing what you showed has a full metal plate, which is why it’s so strong.

I assume you already got rid of those 4, correct? I am looking for a better solution for my Ultragauge which keeps falling off. This looks perfect and I'd probably not even use a ram ball for it anyway.
