    It's entirely possible that a really bad alignment could create a squeak by putting pressure on the bushings.
    I would get that worked out but if it's still happening the next step would be to take the arm off and check to see if the bushings are worn to the point of needing replaced. At the least it may help to pull the arm, remove the bushings, clean the inside of the pivots and the bushings, lube everything and then reassemble. if you're going to do that though you may as well just replace the bushings but that's up to you.
    If you have had the uniball for 8 years it might be time to swap that one as well. Bushings and uniballs are wear parts after all.

    Very true, I just don't think the alignment is that bad so I didn't want to spend the money if I didn't have to. Bushings are now 2 years old so i might as well swap them out. I also have a set of new uniballs just sitting in the garage so it looks like they're just going to get a complete rebuild. Haha. Appreciate the input! :cheers:

    @TOTAL CHAOS

    few of us have your Stock Length LCAs with the Secondary Bypass hoops and King or fox coil overs and secondary shocks.

    What is the correct wheel/tire set up with to limit rubbing.

    I’ve tried several spacers and currently have a 315/75/16 tire with 4.5 backpacking. I put a 1.25 spacer and that puts me at 3.25” of BS and I still rub on the Secondary Shock mount on the LCA and the where the resi hose connects to the shock body.

    Thanks

    Got it. I thought you were bringing up the alignment because you knew/thought yours was way off. Yea always a good idea to do a full rebuild if it's been that long. If the new bushings and uniball don't solve the problem let us know and we will figure out what else it could be:thumbsup:

    Our typical recommendation is 285 tires (285/75/16 w/ 16x8 wheel would use 4.5" backspacing and a 285/70/17 w/ 17x18.5 wheel would use a 4.75" backspace).
    How much rubbing is happening? Is it just kissing it and maybe a little more spacer can clear it or is it really deep into it? Send some pics if you can.

    It does look like it's not too deep so the quick fix is adding a larger spacer. Getting wheels with a different backspace will also fix it but i would work with those spacers to make sure you have the correct spacing before investing in new wheels and having it come up shorter than what you expect.

    I had similar issues and we looked at it in person at FJ summit a few years ago and at least with King setup and 315's rotating and flipping the bypass solved the issue for me. I only went higher offset wheels so I could not run a spacer.

    You had the SCS with the 3.5 BS. Deep dish. I may try flipping them. There is a smooth side

    did you rub on the LCA with this set up? I know we spoke about this over a year ago. Haven’t touched it since

    I can look. My steering stop or lack of area still rubbed at full lock near there but not anywhere else. on the LCA. Most of the rubbing was on the bypass tube and resi. Once I moved them around (after having one of my bypass adjust loosen off from the tire turning it). It was fine after that. I then move the resi over a bit and never had issues after that. I think when we chatted you were going to go with spacers and a diff offset y0u had.

    Spacers I went with 1.25.. I’m Gonna try 1.5 with current set up. I really want those scs deep dish wheels. But don’t want more rubbing issues.
