like 7/10 hour days then 7 days off? Or they live on site all week then get to go home for a week

either way I think that would be rough if you've got a partner/family at home. Single and no kids then hell yeah I'd take that schedule, 7 days off to go driving and camping twice a month would be awesome.

I hope that starts becoming more normal for more companies, 2 day weekends is hardly enough time to recharge. I'd rather put a couple more hours of work in each day and get another day off like that.

7-12 hour days and then 7 days off
    Home every night

definitely has its goods and bad.

Only work 6 months a year and they still get 190 hours of PTO and 2 sick days

yeah the 12 hour shifts would be rough if you've got family life to tend to, esp if you had to commute a distance.

2 weeks off a month though is hard to argue with

I started making sure that didn't happen once I got put on salary, no real incentive to work overtime when you don't make overtime pay anymore lol

I'm fortunate though that I can pull that off here

yeah I guess its really what you're used to and your life adjusts to it, adjusting to having 2 weeks off a month wouldn't be very hard at all I imagine
