Fox Life!!! Anything Related to Fox Suspension

Put the rear 2.0 w/resi’s from @Accutune in yesterday Still early, but on-road the tune feels great with the amount of weight I told them I’d be running.

Really happy with the way the ride has improved now that the rear end is significantly more controlled.

Also playing with a go-pro mount Ive made for the frame, helps me observe what’s going on down there while the suspension is at work, which is really new and neat for me. Watching the suspension cycle real time from the cab is really cool. Gopro is always tethered to the frame in case the HF magnet fails.

 

All OEM shocks come with basic valving from Factory. That valving is for X vehicle, which will not be perfect for every single model truck out there. We've spent a tremendous amount of time tuning these shocks to work even better than how they come from Factory, and we will tailor the valving to your needs. We revalve shocks to work better for a daily driver, overlander with 2k pounds of added weight, different spring rates etc. The internal valving will make the biggest differences on the shocks and the compression adjusters will help with fine tuning. Adjusters are great for making changes due to added weight for a trip, hitting the desert harder, towing etc... but they wont be as affective as the internal valving.

 

Got about 500 miles on everything now so I think it’s all settled. I don’t want to toot my own horn here…but I’m gonna. I swapped to 14” 650lb coils and guesstimated the preload before install, and absolutely nailed it!! 2” rake front to back (which I want), and a 1/4” (f&r) drivers side lean with a full tank of gas

Oh, and both coil overs measure 21.25” with the weight of the truck, right where accutune recommends

 

So how exactly do the adjusters work? If I wanted a slightly smoother ride would I twist clockwise or counter clockwise?

Anybody running the new performance elite series in 2-3” on a 3rd gen? Wondering how much preload you was running? Stock weight

 

We've sold quite a few, preload will be specific to your trucks weight.

Not yet, waiting for my rears before installing my whole setup

 

I’m halfway done with the front not really stock weight but more stock than some. It gave me 4” in one corner but it’ll get lower installing the other side and rear and front bumper. Still likely will be backing off preload. My PES came from @AccuTune Offroad though so it may not be in the stock position (stock springs tho)



edit: my alignment was all jacked from not setting the SPC UCA right. After I fixed that it dropped ride height. I will update once I figure out where I’m riding it permanently but I’ll likely have to increase preload some to get back to 2-1/4”

 

Mine came set with spring compressed to 11" which was to me the very high end. I backed them down to a shade over 12" and that is more like between 2" and 2.5" lift, rides better, and healthier CV angles.

My front end is stock weight I've got about 1.25" on the driver side and a hair over 0.75" on the passenger side. They're giving me about 2.25 inches of lift. I'm also 2 wheel drive so no front diff.

We don't change preload on these OEM coilovers before sending them out, so thats how they are set from Fox.

 

Does anyone run limit straps on a stock LCA 3rd gen?

These Fox 2.5's I have aren't THAT harsh when topping out, but still would like them to be softer. Figured the easiest way would be limit straps.

 

Is anyone having rubbing issues on the left rear shock? Specifically the Resi hitting the leaf pack overload bracket as seen in the image. I noticed that under hard driving in the dirt it can hit it as I found out and have a nice scratch in the resi from it.
I did loosen up the camp and rotate the resi out towards the tire but the whole thing can still rotate in towards the leaf pack.
