I’m between a Tacoma trd sport and a ridgeline rtl-e. The Tacoma is supposedly already built according to the dealer but I would get the ridgeline quicker since Hondas turn time is quicker..

I looked at the Nissan Pro4X, couldn't find one with less than $3500 in market adjustments, plus another 2k over a similarly equipped Taco.

Only one Toyota dealer in the Nashville market would sell at msrp. Honda dealers are crazy too. But for some reason my wife shopped at Lexus and bmw (bought a rx350) and neither of those brands played price games. Msrp with no accessory packages and full kbb for her trade.,

I couldn't buy another Nissan. I know the new Frontier has some good reviews but I think you get a better value with a Tacoma.

Agreed. I spoke with the largest dealer in the US today and my sales rep said she spent the entire day refunding customer waitlist deposits. She said they are getting a TON of cancellations on Tacomas and nearly everything else (except for Hybrid vehicles).

By the time a dealer finally finds me a truck, I'm betting the new Colorado ZR2, Canyon ATX4, and even the Ranger Raptor will be available :D

My wife is getting pretty tired of being on hold for the past 6 months no doubt. She's already started to drop hints about trying another manufacturer.
I just want something that'll be reliable.

    My temporary VIN: 3TMGZ5AN4NM19C205

It appears I am unable to pull up the vehicle specs in Toyota's guest portal. Does this mean I have a permanent VIN? Can anyone check my work?

If you was able to view it before and now you can't most likely it has been changed to a permanent vin#

I'm willing to wait and pay for an old school, well built truck. GM is a frickin' low quality clown show and Ford is obsessed with bolting 9 turbochargers to a lawn mower engine and slapping it into a truck. And don't get me started on the 16 speed automatic transmissions that you can't even check the fluid level in.

For me at least my Tacoma will be worth waiting for.

Talked to the dealer yesterday evening, he said they have no information on my truck, all they know it was due to be built last week June 8th and it hasn't, they told me but not confirmed that some builds like mine may go deep into the summer or be transfered to a 2023, they and many dealers from what they said are refunding deposits cause customers are getting agitated

One other dealer called the one I inquired about is pre sold, she said toyota logistics is having computer issues so a truck could be built just that things aren't updated. She said two days ago they received a few cars one of them wasn't on their delivery list for that day.

I’m talking to three Toyota dealerships two of them says they can’t get it third one said they can but it will probably be marked $2000 Port add on but my opinion on that i’m probably gonna have to allocate at 2023 because I think Toyota allocation system is a bunch of bs they only deal with High volume dealership only i’ve been waiting almost 5 months now

Picked up my TRD OR Lunar Rock last night, quite the difference from the 2015 (and the Gen 1 we owned).

    A few things noted
    1. Waiting sucks for all of us
    2. @Rod03 is great. Please contribute to his beer consumption for his great work keeping us all informed. You are the best! https://www.buymeacoffee.com/rod03
    3. This link can provide you with some more information about your truck and some level of comfort (is it not a cure-all) https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tracking-vin-number.393910/
    4. My truck never went past A status using the toyota tracker even after RodO3 let me know it was in Long Beach and on its way to Denver https://toyota-tracker.com/
    5. The truck was built 23 May, arrived in Long Beach on 3 June, arrived at the Denver area dealership 13 June
    6. The Toyota app can give you some more info about the truck's activity (not a cure-all either). The more mileage and the increase of door unlocking notifications, the more the better in my experience. Tire pressure never showed up
    7. TW is great for all of the community input so we all can have info at our finger tips - thanks to everyone!
    8. Best of luck to all still waiting and hope the anxiety does not take too much of a toll (or your family)!
