This is not a Honda, nor is it JDM, but they are so rare that I had never seen in one in person prior to this particular one; It is a 1992 Isuzu Stylus RS, sold new in Virginia and imported to Canada where it currently resides. The owner drove all the way down to Pennsylvania from Quebec for the 2022 Import Nats! The MPH gauge cluster was swapped out for one in kilometers from a Canadian-spec Stylus...

Back to the JDM Hondas now; I saw this 1989 Civic Si at the SteelStacks Cars & Coffee the day after the Import Nats. You will notice that this example has power windows and locks. As far as I know, these were never available on Civic hatchbacks of this generation in North America, but I could be wrong...

Pontiac had a sunfire also. Looked similar

 

I was actually reading about the Geo Storm just now, and what you're thinking of was the Asuna Sunfire that was exclusive to Canada; The Sunfire sold in America was a rebadged Chevy Cavalier with slightly different body styling...

I encountered one of my absolute dream vehicles at SteelStacks a month ago; Mitsubishi Delica L300! This is a 1993 model with the same gas-powered 2.4L 4-cylinder used in the US-market Mitsubishi Eclipse; I have driven a 1996 L300 with the torquier but less powerful turbodiesel 4-cylinder...

The engine is rather difficult to get to; Also, the owner told me that the A/C was converted from R-12 to R134a, but this looks like an OEM sticker and I've seen a 1993 Mitsubishi Pajero that also had a factory R134a system...

 

The 1996 L300 that I drove back in February did not have the captain's chairs that this one has; Also, the owner told me that the A/C works fine, but starts to suffer a bit once it gets about 80 degrees. I believe that this is primarily because of large glass roof panels rather the system itself being inadequate; It was humid that day, and the A/C in the van was definitely blowing cold!

 

I never knew that existed. I do kind of like it.
