    SBR that sucker.

Then take out a HELOC if you plan on buying subsonic 45-70 ammo.

And red dots on lever actions are just, wrong.

    Didn't ask and don't care

And bought 100 subs for $20 a box cheaper than regular velocity ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    @OnePuttBlunder that Marlin is sweet!
What optic do you plan on running?

Personally, while I understand the aesthetic of a red dot on a lever gun seems wrong, a red dot fits the objective of a true brush gun, reliable and quick. I would make the argument that a red dot would’ve been the choice optic for the brush gun “back in the day” had it been available.

I'm not 100% sure yet. If I go with a pistol style red dot trijicon SRO or Leupold deltapoint pro are prob my top 2 choices.

If I really want to piss off the fudd crowd and go full tactical style with mlok rail WML and enclosed emitter then the Holusun Aems or Vortex UHD are options.

Given the primary use/purpose of this being a backcountry camping/truck gun I'm leaning more towards the latter.

I like the idea of the rail, light, and optic.
If you want good performance and aren’t too budget conscious I really like my Cloud Defensive Rein, and I like my UH-1, although I do want to put an AEMS on my 11.5 to replace the 503-CU.

    Why, that's fortuitous.

Jacketed 458 400+g projectiles alone are $0.80-$1.00 each.

Can't shoot lead through a sealed can.

Was hard to pass up on their sales pricing on the 77gr. Was cheaper than 55gr fmj at my lgs

Between this and sale pricing on imi 77gr razorcore I've bought a lot more of heavy 223 than range ammo lately

Old faithful. I had to get rid of one years ago and have finally replaced it.

Absolutely, as a kid I put a crazy amount of rounds through mine. Wish I could have kept my old one.

Barry's does make plated bullets for both 458 socom and 45-70. Much more affordable at around 35 cents each. Especially for just plinking
Barry's does.claim 1700fps is for me for them but I've only run the tp 1400 or so
