Big time.

BTC is at the 200 week MA. Historically it’s found support here. Hopefully history will repeat. We could see wicks below it before the weekly close Sunday evening.

 

Ive been looking at that almost bought this morning, but with the macro economical climate I feel like we might keep falling. Probably a good time to buy but I don't have the warm fuzzy.

 

Exactly why I can't bring myself to pull the trigger right now.

With all the price dumping happening this month, something interesting with the BTC dominance + ETH dominance charts. In the past this has signaled a shift of Market Cap into alts and an alt season. IDK if that will happen for sure, but this is a good start to that.

With current macro conditions across the board I doubt we see alts run. The wishful thinking part of me hopes your DD is correct. The logical part of me knows it isn't.

 

That’s what I’m worried about as well. DJI is looking more and more like it’s popped. Bond yields are breaking out. And dxy is as wel.

 

Right now there is so many conflicting signals across all markets.

 

Last month we where talking about psychological resistance of both the DOW and the NASDAQ. Those are 30K and 10K respectively. The DOW broke and held below today. It won't be long before the NASDAQ follows. I just typed this up on the Stocks thread.

I'm hoping the death of PoW coins comes, tbh. Only worthwhile one is XMR and that's not even a market listed coin Pretty much all the useful PoS alts are dipping, but since they don't need to worry about mining costs, the floor where they become unminable is a lot lower.

 

Update on the BTC+ETH Dominance chart. Getting very close the the May and Sept '21 lows.

 

It seems that while BTC and ETH are continuing to make lower lows, the rest of the market is holding their lows.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t buy this dip. In the last month my crypto portfolio went down 3X what I paid for my truck. Be greedy when fearful I know but I couldn’t seem to find my wallet this time.

 

I'm still building my portfolio. Long story short I only bought in 2 years ago. I mostly swing trade options. Being that I'm good at it I never really hold a stock option for any length of time. I decided to get into LINK since IMO it has the most viable path forward in DeFi. I also promised myself I would do an actual long term hold. I set a 10 year time frame. So, I've got a long time to watch it become valuable. I also only put about 5% of my total portfolio into it. So, if it goes to zero I won't be super pissed. Just mildly pissed but that's because I hate losing. lol

 

That’s a good plan, I’ve been accumulating link for 1.5 years so not doing great but like your said I’m treating crypto as my 2nd 401k that I take profits to reinvest. I think sticking to 5% is very smart.
