ehhh...that photo is a couple years old, our backyard grass is like 50% grass now and 50% clover lol.

I actually kind of like the clover more and it's easier to keep alive than grass

Esp now that we can only run the sprinklers 2x a week, seems futile to try and keep the grass going. Ultimately up to our landlord though

Ideally what I should do is install an underground sprinkler system.

I have sprinkler heads above ground, but really need to add one or two more for full coverage. I got some browning on one end only to adjust the sprinklers, and another area turn brown.

Underground really reduces evaporation losses, right?

Yeah considering you can water whenever.

I've got the timer set I think at 4:30 every morning otherwise it gets too hot immediately past the morning.

I started running ours at 9:30pm cause sometimes it starts getting pretty hot as soon as the sun starts to rise

Yeah I should set the second watering for later in the evening.

    Right now it's set for 7 p.m.

First two to three weeks you want to water at least twice a day.

    ah that makes sense.

Made me think of when my brother in law was living with us for 2 months a few years back, dude took at least 2 showers a day and often for 20+ minutes at a time. Drove me freakin nuts. Our landlord flipped out when he got that water bill, sent people over to check the property for water leaks lol.

I remember my dad always hosing down the driveway every weekend. He never worked on our cars or anything like that so its not like there was any real need to, I think its just one of those things people used to do to try and keep it clean. Sounds nuts now
