Just beat google estimates for fuel consumption on my 34-year old enduro.

    0C1D95E7-E893-4CD7-AF74-8E05E16DCD2F.jpg

Just recorded 4.8L/100km (49 US mpg) commuting for the last week, rippin’ @ 90km/h each way on my 24km trip.

Put on about 1,100 kms this year so far, saving ~8L/100km (compared to Taco) @ $2/L = $176. Hopefully my fuel savings this summer covers my insurance and the $200 worth of clutch parts I had to order last week. 34 years on the original aint too bad.

I'm sure it's fun to drive, but so iz a moped

    How many pedals?

And it's a GM, so, diminished desire to own

Cooled seats must be fine tho...

Just a 3RZ donor to my first gen, the frame and body are rotten, can barely hold its own weight. UPS driver dropped off my conversion engine mounts today.

Washed, painted and fixed little things at the back here and there. Debating to change fuel pump or not… I have one from recall, but there is nothing wrong with this one.

Still need to adjust the shocks but I’ve fallen back in love with it.

Minus the part it cost $5 in gas just to pull it out of the garage

I have Pirelli MT21 which are 90/10 tires, and a few (less than 10) hard asphalt stops have shown on the front tire. Rear is roughly 1/2 worn. I have roughly 3,000kms on them. I will get 5,000kms out of both, but def not 10,000kms.

They are SUPER loud even offroad. Anything over 70km/h they are prominent. I’d need eArplugs for 104kms daily.

My 17” rear rim reduced my choice in tires, but I planned to pretty much keep to that 90/10 ratio. I’ll buy another of this same set when I need new ones rather than give up my insane levels of grip in gravel.
