Quick question for those in the know... do the 2020+ Entune 3.0 non JBL units come with physical buttons, or touch sensitive screen buttons? I'm thinking about trolling the local yards looking for a used unit. I'm not sure what the part number is for a 2020+ head unit that's Nav and CarPlay capable. Everything I see in the online junkyards has the physical hard buttons on the sides.

They have physical buttons but the screen is a touch screen.

There are different part #'s for different vehicles. You might be after 86140-04200 which is US spec 8" screen with Navigation NON JBL.

Hmmmm.... staying OEM adds up quickly. ~$1100 for a used unit online. ~$125 for a harness. Then another $50 for the USB connection or $150 for wireless. So we're at $1300+ for CarPlay before any shipping and taxes. And personally, I like the smooth surface of my 2018 unit.

I'd be interested at $750 all in, but at $1300+ I'm going to tap out for the time being.

I think I remember seeing this type of unit. The price is right, but with no touch screen (at least that’s how I interpret the functionality), I’m a bit bummed. If it somehow had touch screen, I would probably pony up later for the wireless CarPlay dongle.

I don’t know too much about this product but I would say that CarPlay would be useless (and a waste of over $600) if you couldn’t use the icons on the screen like you do on the phone.

my goal is to get the module to make the stereo wireless. A lot cheaper than this product.

Wanting to move up to a 3.0 system too. Are they all the same? And by that I mean a 3.0 unit out of another vehicle like ch-r, that shares all the same features like nav, non-jbl etc. to its 2.0 counterpart. would it transplant without issue into a Tacoma with proper harnesses or is it different enough that it’s not possible?

I asked the same question in a thread I started HERE. I recently got a 3.0 Entune unit from a 2019 Sienna. It has a 8" screen with a CD player (which I wanted) along with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Waiting for the harness to arrive. I will update my thread as I progress. I am redoing my entire system again so I probably put other pertinent information in there too.

Definitely let me know bc it’s looking like if they are the same units, ones from like a ch-r are way cheaper than taco versions

For the JBL version to work, you’ll need the 2020+ JBL amp as well.

Do you have the JBL or regular radio? Do you have factory Navi?

Non JBL, so do you care to retain the factory navigation? Most people don’t care

Lol. Ok I don’t have that HU. Just be careful when buying. There’s only one that works with the factory Navi
