This is about when the dickpunch-to-close-negative starts.

 

Well, my mattress is getting lumpy! I fired my money manager today.
That was an 8 month learning experience with a fee! I can do better
for free.
I was into buying my own stocks until about 8 months ago, I decided
to sell everything because I got tired of staring at my laptop screen
all day. BTW it was a pretty darned good time for me to sell everything,
I did really well. I was heavily into financial and tech, of course
fintech too.
It was not a good time to pay a money manager to take over though.
I found myself glued to my screen more than ever and I had very
little or no control. I lost about 16% in those 8 months but it would have
been MUCH worse if I stayed the course 8 months ago.
I'm gonna be on the sidelines awhile but I'm already working on a
plan. Maybe September/October things may turn for the better, who knows,
or maybe next week now that I'm out. Not completely out, still
have one stock that's been solid for years and my TDA account is
still active with 20+ in my watch list, many that I previously sold.
I'm going to play safe, maybe index funds. I don't do crypto or options,
a man's got to know his limitations.
I like this forum/thread and a lot of you guys know more than I do
about investing.
I haven't said much lately but I read this thread daily.

Yeah, I did. I can get back in my way on a moments notice though. I think good index fund or 2
will do as good or better with little or no fee.
I'm not staying out.

 

When did you buy though? If it was any time prior to 2022, you did an oopsie. I'm down like 30% YTD right now across the board and I'm not selling annnnything that's in a fund. I'm not even selling my shit stocks just out of pure spite. Things will come back...eventually.........maybe

 

I got in to that in November. Their fees were quite high.
It will come back eventually. Son is starting college this Fall so I got
tired of the trend.
