Yesterday I saw a article of some Costco stock holders wanting to sue Costco for the treatment of the Rotisserie chickens .
It is not about the treatment, because everyone knows Costco is selling there Rotisserie chickens as a loss . Same for the hot dogs.
It is about the stock holders wanting more profits. Will we also see the stock holders sue the “how hotdogs are being treated?
    My opinion here.

Expect the prices for the Rotisserie chickens go up in the near future. And for the $1.50 hot dogs?

The rich will get richer! At least the chicken will have better living conditions before we kill and eat them. Will we be able to taste the difference? UM? The chickens we eat will come from a good loving home….

Hawaii has a homeless chicken problem too.

Never had a rotisserie chicken, or hotdog from Costco. I can't recall ever spending a single dollar at a Costco. I wonder if any other places get their chickens from the same supplier?

If it does it’ll be after Jelinek dies. Those are two items he doesn’t want to mess with because they’re “iconic”.

Neat name “batacoma”. Ah.. You are missing out the chicken, weights 2 lbs and only $4.99 each. The Hotdog $1.50 , is a large hotdog and comes with a all-you-drink fountain

Our Costco makes 800 Rotisserie chickens a day. A good friend help in stall the Rotisserie machine at Kona ,Costco.
I say we average one rotisserie chicken per week , sometimes more. We also make chicken stir fries, chicken salads, chicken sandwiches, chicken soups, chicken stews, even added to our chili.

Our Kona Costco is either the 2nd or 3rd busy Costco in America.
A gas tanker with trailer is there every morning and some days they will order another gas tanker w/ trailer. They sell a lot of gas. As well as chickens.

If your family spends money then $5,000 dollars a year in groceries, gas and house hold goods? The Costco business card offers 2% back. We spent enough each year where the 2% pays for our membership.
It has being a good deal for us. Gas alone $100 per week = $5,200 each year.

$9.99 Pizza best deal in town. Huge too.

My whole family “loves ” there hotdogs too. Today the deli lines are so busy, shortage’s of workers, many times just one or two windows open. Before Covid there would be 4 windows open and it was still crowded then.

The tires shops here, always at least 1-2 hours wait.
We have just one Costco, 200,000 people lives on the Big Island. You will see many, many tourist shopping at Costco too.
Especially on the weekend, Hilo town , located on the other side of the island (100 miles away) It seems everyone from Hilo is shopping at Costco.

Costco wants to put all the local grocery stores out of business. After all the competition on the island is gone, the prices will go up

Dont put all your eggs in one basket. Spread the money around and keep the local economy healthy

Before Costco the local Supermarkets did this to the smaller Mom and Pops stores . You can put it that way too.
Before Walmart stores, there were many smaller stores around, So the same can be said here too.

Costco brought so many new products , prices the average family could afford. Walmarts too brought great prices and products.

Competition is good, monopoly is never good. Sears , JC Penny we’re the biggest box stores at one time. They too close a lot of Mom and Pop stores.

Amazon too they say has close many businesses and yet create many other businesses too.

Remember you too could start a business one day , that may take business away from someone else?

Because of the avain flu outbreak caused the industry to kill something like 40 million chickens and turkeys. This is why they are losing even more money, as wholesale prices have risen. :hattip:

Never been to a Costco. I see it when I ride by and it looks like one big cluster fuck. I'm not sitting in that traffic to save a little money.

You and the other negative Nelly add nothing to the conversation because you are on the outside looking in. I buy the boneless white meat chicken instead of whole bird and we avoid the hotdogs because they are loaded with fat and grease you don’t need. I’ll buy their gasoline because we also get 4% back and it adds up. Last year we got back over 1000 dollars. The ones talking shit about Costco please just stay on the porch you wouldn’t know a deal if it jumped up and bit you in the ass we also buy the Kirkland synthetic motor oil 10 quarts for 27 dollars. Yes a giant cluster fuck unless you shop off peak times. I like them because they give Sam’s a run for the money. Consumers win win. You ought to see their deals on beer wine and hard liquor, best prices period.

Being in Hawaii where everything needs to be ship in. Costco divides the shipping cost between all of its stores.
Making Hawaii prices the same everywhere in America. What you pay for toilet paper where you live ,is the same price here in Hawaii. And for most of it other products too.

We get many news products the average groceries stores do not bring in, Costco always searching for new things. Costco buys many of the manufacturers close-outs and pass those saving to us.
Last month I brought 8 pairs of shoes at $10.00 each , Amazon sells those same shoes $92 each.

Costco mark ups are never higher then 15% over there cost, passing those savings to you. How can Costco survive? By collecting membership fees.

When I was in the process of buying my 2019 Tacoma , I mention I going though the Costco Auto program. The manager drop the same saving I would get from Costco, I think $1,300+?

My neighbor had four growing kids , he was surprised he was spending over $9,000 a year at Costco. , got the business card and gets 2% back. Costco does keep track of everything you buy!

Costco never above 15% over there cost. Reason there chain is growing ,world wide!
Yes too , Costco may not be for everyone.

Before Costco came to Hawaii , We were at the mercy of all the gasoline chains. Hawaii always had some of the highest prices of gas. Every fuel has to be imported. (Ship)
Today Costco has the lowest gas prices at the pumps. And anyone can be a member and start saving.

Thank you Costco. My dollar now can buy a little bit more. Thank you McDonalds for taking the other dollar.
