One thing to keep in mind when breaking down the parity of the wins between the manufacturers is the number of cars that manufacturer has on the track. Chevy and Ford both field 15 each with Chevy having a healthy lead on the quality of teams in there equipment. Toyota on the other hand is at a huge disadvantage with only 6 teams in there equipment. Of those they are all affiliated with one team being JGR. Though JGR is a powerhouse, if they miss the mark then that whole manufacturer is screwed. The win parity among manufacturers this season is per the stats about as even as it has ever been. I would even say Ford has overachieved for the quality of teams they have.

And lets be honest. All of the cars sitting in victory lane are cheating in one way or another. The art is playing in the gray areas and not getting caught. Toyota has a storied history of lobbying NASCAR for sanctions or changes when they can't figure out performance and the whole MWR era did not help your cause.

Dude, is SRX running in the same time slot as the truck race. That's a ballsy move. SRX is at 1700 (west coast) and trucks are at 1800.

Every manufacturer has played a part in getting the sport where it is today. Let's not forget about when Chevy and Ford lobbied NASCAR for Toyota to have smaller tapered spacers since Ford and Chevy "couldn't figure it out." Yes, I would agree about Toyota not having that many teams, but that doesn't at all change my statement. When Toyota first came into the sport, every team worked together and they started finding success. Chevy only recently seemed to figure that out, but it's still largely one team who is doing the bulk of the work for Chevy. And, again, there is silence. When it's JGR, there's whining and baseless accusations of cheating.

And no, not every car in victory lane is cheating. Playing in the gray area is not cheating. That's where you gain a competitive advantage until they reign in the rules (or they don't.)

Calm down, our opinions differ. Toyota was not the first to work together as a team. RCR had a huge info sharing program back in the 90's. As have many others long before the Japanese crossed the pond. I feel that every car in victory lane is in fact cheating. You can disagree and that is fine. I do not have an issue with cheating in NASCAR as it has always been a part of the sport and is what has made legends of drivers. Call it gray areas, innovation whatever. No one is calling Toyota out but I do not agree that Toyota is treated any differently than any of the other manufactures. I am pretty sure that whole engine taper thing was proven to be that the TRD engine design actually lended itself to more displacement and that is pretty hard to overcome in basic engine design and Chevy and Ford called them out and said NASCAR could solve this by decreasing the spacer on those engines but we all see that differently I suppose.

When Red Bull entered the sport the US manufacturers did wine, I will give you that. It was because they were coming to the table with an F1 type budget and the good ol boys saw no way they would be able to compete with that so they did lobby and bitch and wine. All I am saying is that your opinion seems to be based on a lot of emotion and your love of Toyota and much less in what I feel is actually going on in the sport. And that is fine also. I mean passion is a great thing. I am a diehard Chevrolet fan though I have owned many Toyota's and respect them as a brand. I am sure in most instances I do or would go to bat as hard supporting Chevrolet pertaining to NASCAR. I was just playing devils' advocate is all. And I do agree that HMS does do 90% of the heavy lifting for Chevrolet but I suspect they also get 90% of the factory money.

Things will soon swing back to your favor and JGR will be in victory lane. This sport comes in waves. Everyone is saying "oh no, HMS has lost its edge" but they have all 4 cars locked into the playoffs so they are just not being as innovative at the moment. They will pull out the bag of tricks when it counts. Its just how the sport goes.

Just goes to show that working together often works out better than trying to figure it out on its own. Toyota isn't the first foreign manufacturer in the sport, they're just the most successful. I'll definitely agree Toyota isn't being treated any differently by the sanctioning body. I'm mostly referring to the certain loud-mouthed fans and pointing out the hypocritical-ness in their logic.

I disagree about the cheating thing for two main reasons. First off: if the car passes inspection before and after the race, it was within the rules (or they faked it well enough). Secondly: just like with the legal system; if something isn't expressly prohibited and fits within the confines of the other rules, it isn't illegal. Therefore, it technically wouldn't be cheating. Toyota had the same rules to follow as the other manufacturers did. I believe the net result was the Toyotas having 5 less HP than the Chevy and Fords, which is miniscule but still something.

I would tend to agree here. Hendrick certainly has a lot of pull at Chevrolet. I love my Toyota, don't get me wrong, but I grew up a GM guy. Recently that has turned sour for me which is why I ended up turning to Ford and ultimately Toyota. In NASCAR, I'm not really brand loyal. I'm a Kyle Busch fan and was when he was in a Chevy and would be if he went to Mitsubishi or Ford, BMW, etc.

Yeah, things come and go for everyone. But I don't buy the "HMS has lost its edge" argument for one second. Headlines like that, in my opinion, are nothing more than clickbait.

LOL, fair enough and dude. We all know you are a KB fan! I am not really sure “fan” is a strong enough word. I would call you a KB follower. Or perhaps a KB extremist. Yes that’s it...

I think it was door bumper clear I listened to this week and TJ or one of them was going off about how trackhouse is outperforming HMS at every level. I mean I can see the point to some degree but I mean, really. I guess they just like to start shit.

I liked Terry. I got his autograph back in the day. I mean I was diehard RCR Earnhardt back then but I liked the Ice Man.

He randomly came to a UVA basketball game and I was able to get him to sign a 1/64 car in the package I had. Somehow over the years I lost it though. He always carried himself with a lot of class.
