Took my passenger wheel off to try to get the stuck bolt from my bump stop that broke off. Extractor isn't getting it so I'm gonna have to go get some different drill bits. Also been hearing a odd sound from my drivers side front and I'm pretty sure my wheel bearings are shot. And of course we leave for Wy in 2 weeks from today. I got a lot to do now.

2 hours of drilling and I finally got that damn bolt out of there! I had the driver side soaking in PB Blaster for a week and hit it several times today before I got at it and it came right off! Took me about 10 mins total for the drivers side. I am a dumb ass though and had turned it about a half turn tight before I realized it. I am so glad that didn't snap off too! Duro bumps are installed!

    Just installed some Kings.
Over all took about 5 hours to do all 4 corners, taking my time. I still need to do the leafs but but ran out of time.
The free air lift jack came in clutch. Worth every penny I didn't pay for it.

Never ending. Hydraulic assist is mostly done. Need to change one of the fittings to a 90*. while I wait for that I'm going to start the FJ case/twin sticks.

New Poly Sway bar bushings from Energy Suspension along with Sway bar end links. Last things to change in the suspension rebuild is the UCA. I will probably stay OEM UCA since Im not going with much of a lift. The new end links really tightened the front end up.

Good day today. Drilled out my broken bump stop bolt and installed Duro Bumps with no other issues.

Installed some OG fab molle panels

replaced both passenger side window strips that where showing age.

Did the fog light anytime mod and adjusted them.

    Cleaned my K&N air filter

And dropped the spare to make sure I can as well as made my techdeck work with the new head unit (kinda) for now.

Start of a long weekend solo off roading camping trip. Left a friends house in Dixon, NM this am. Drove up to Colorado and did Hayden Pass in the Sangre De Cristo mountains (pretty easy and a little bland)
    3782D0D7-8275-4B59-973B-41876C638E18.jpg

Then did a trail south of Salida called Sand Creek/ Badger creek . Quite easy and really bland. Do not recommend.

Hit a grocery store in Salida then headed up Aspen Ridge. There’s a maze of bike trails up here and I may have accidentally went down one for a minute and had to use my winch for the first time when my tire slid off the path and I got hung up on my driveshaft. All good though, got back to the main trail and found a sweet camp spot overlooking Salida. Got dinner made and the tent up just before the rains came.

Currently sitting up in my RTT, listening to the rain.

    F41D9F99-A62B-413C-881A-110DD4B5A2ED.jpg

The next two days will be finishing Aspen Ridge to Buena Vista, then head south and west and squeeze as much of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route as I can.

I’m spoiled and have done a fair number of cool super scenic CO trails, most in the San Juan’s (black Bear Imogene etc), Pearl pass and Schofield pass in crested butte, red cone, radical hill and a few others by Breckenridge.

So you know… less than spectacular is bland.
