Welp. With a light rear ender/front end (my fault), the more major modifications begin. Already have the 6112/5160's in and waiting on the Deaver Stage I's to arrive. Just placed an order for the @RelentlessFab Hybrid front bumper as well :headbang:. Excited for the upgrades and it only took 6 years to happen.

We were in our 2019 Polaris General... He was just waiting at the bottom of the hill near verdi's dog valley entrance, had a couple people pulled over when we pulled up, and as he was writing our ticket, probably 10 more utvs /atvs were lined up waiting for their tickets. He wasnt much of a people person, nor was he going to give any warnings he said everyone was being ticketed.

Where you on a county or state road? I'm not familiar with that area but if was an unmaintained FS road I'd fight that shit. If nothing else just to waste the judges time. If your gonna have to pay it anyway might as well make sure those funds get used on your terms not theirs.

Not 100% sure if road is county, state or federal, but I would assume federal since it is on National forest land, and the guy who gave me the ticket was Forest "Service"... I knew I was supposed to have helmets on, just kind of irks me because there are so many asshats out there that I feel his time would be much better spent looking for and dealing with them. I drive like a grandpa in the sxs, and we literally bring a bag of other peoples trash home every time out of that area, I dont feel like we were deserving of it but again he wasn't wanting to hear it. It is maintained (Hennes pass rd). I appeared in court on zoom, was an interesting experience to say the least. I just pled guilty and the fine was enforced in full amount.

I feel your pain man. I got a seat belt ticket about 10 years ago. I was heading to a local climbing area that's accessed off 395. Cops in the median exactly where I turned onto Owens Gorge Rd. At that same time an Audi came FLYING past me. At least 80. CHP spins up the tires and flips on the lights. "That guys fucked" I chuckle.

Thirty seconds later I look in the rear view and guess who's behind me full code 3? Yep. CHP. I pull over and get my info ready. He comes up and asks for the info. I give it to him and ask why he pulled me over. "You weren't wearing your seat belt" is his reply. I quipped back with "So me not wearing a seat belt is more dangerous then that Audi that flew by at 80?"

After he ran my shit and gave me a ticket he finally answered that question. Turns out Saturdays are his day off. He was working, not by choice, as part of a program called Click It or Ticket. Fucker didn't even have his radar on. His sole mission that day was seat belt enforcement. After he handed me the ticket I politely said "I really fucking hope you have next Saturday off"

Maybe your FS LEO was on the same type of patrol.

Exactly. If your under 18, sure, mandate it since in a very skewed view it could be seen as child endangerment. If your an adult it should be your choice. Do we really need to save everyone from everything?

At least that have you time to finish your coldie!

But that sucks. Fuck helmets if you don't like them. Same with seat belts. (Disclaimer: I have cadillac insurance and earn it so I can say that shit)

Helmets in UTVs are stupid... Unless you're out pushing it, or racing or blah blah blah but for cruising... eat a dick. I know a guy who's ran from the FS on his race quad multiple times in dog valley. :anonymous:

I’d make my kids wear a helmet in a UTV but I’m more worried about the fuckwads in them that are doing highway speeds cutting corners down trails and roads. I have almost been taken out numerous times on my dirt bike and have almost gotten in head ons in my truck.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
    This.

If Johnny Law hasn't 'detained' you, flip a bitch and GTFO. You're not evading/resisting, as the officer hasn't asserted his/her authority to limit your freedom of movement in this case. Of course if the MF decides to chase you down, then that's another matter and you're in failure to yield territory if you don't stop.

And my registration sticker always seems to have a LOT of mud and dirt on it. I really should do something about that. Some day.
