Just want to share a deal I just got. Lowes has a Dewalt 1/2” cordless impact wrench on clearance. I just bought the last one in the Wake Forest store. The website doesn’t list the clearance price, it’s $219 on the website but it’s $153 in the store. I had to ask the guy working in the tool department to find it for me. The model number is

$253 DCF894B DEWALT 20V MAX XR Impact Wrench, Cordless, 1/2" with Detent Pin Anvil, 330-lbs of Torque, 3100 IPM, Bare Tool Only (DCF894B)

DCF894B. It has been replaced on the shelf with a new model number. The website says the North Raleigh store has 4 of them.

 

I forgot to mention it has 600 ft-lbs of breakaway torque.

Anybody know any inspection station friends? I am in a bind. Quick version, gotta leave the state on orders in a week, need to get vehicle inspected. Window tint exemption is good till 2025. However, traded for new car six months ago and did not request updated letter for different car VIN. Called and requested an updated later and was sent a letter last week that NC DMV will take four weeks to process a new VIN for my same exemption. I am looking to find a place that will see my current medical exemption and my current ownership of the vehicle and pass me for it.

 

Do you have the info for the change in VIN with the timeline and all that? If so I would bet if you call a small mom and pop shop up and talk to them and show them the info they'd be willing to pass you.

 

I have the original letter for both that car and my truck. Just not sure where to go. My wife already got turned away before.

 

I'm pretty sure you already figured it out but usually, I have found any small shop with older folks usually give you a break and pass your inspection for stuff like that.

Anyways does anybody know any good shop to get leaf springs replaced around Wake county? I could probably do it myself but I don't have the time or the tools right now

 

Does anyone in the RDU area have a 3rd gen Tacoma gas tank skid plate they want to get rid of? OEM is fine, aftermarket is ok, just looking for some light protection since my SR5 has nothing.

 

Does anyone have a FLIR/Thermal camera I can use for a min?

Anyone know the coolant flow direction on the 4.0L? Apparently my radiator cap is broken and want to know if the nub will stay in the rad tank or get pushed through the engine.
